Ken Betwa Salient Features

The Ken-Betwa river link project involves transferring 55 TMC of water from the Ken river basin to the drought-prone Betwa river basin. The project will be implemented over 8 years in 4 districts of Madhya Pradesh and 2 districts of Uttar Pradesh, at a cost of Rs. 44,605 crores. It consists of the construction of a 176 km link canal, a 77-meter tall Daudhan dam, and will provide irrigation to over 9 lakh hectares of land and drinking water to 62 lakh people once completed.
