2. Water availability
The water required for the scheme is proposed to utilise by impounding water by constructing
a barrage across Devapur nala near Devathkal village. The waste water that gets drained off
from the valleys in the command area NLBC Distributory No. 3 to 12 and HBC & its
Distributaries From 1 to 6. Further the runoff from the valleys connecting the Devapur nala
on the upstream of the proposed Barrage will also contribute certain amount of water for the
proposed project. Therefore, the water available is by rejuvenation of waste water that gets
impounded at the proposed barrage Location and from the runoff of the Devapur nala.
The proposed scheme is designed for providing Irrigation facility to 3100 Ha of land by
lifting water from the impounded water at the proposed barrage. The irrigation intensity
adopted for the irrigation is 90% and crops selected for irrigation are the crops approved in
the approved Project report of the UKP.

3 Total Water requirement for scheme for 120 days, Mcft = 587.35 Mcft
4 Total Water requirement for scheme for 120 days, cum = 16632000 Cum
Stage-1
The total power requirement for the scheme is 3.5 MVA(Stage-1). The power requirement is
calculated taking into account of no. of working pumps (3 working + 1 for achieving peak
discharge) and auxiliary power supply.
2 x 3.50 MVA 33/6.6KV 1W+1S power transformer with 33kv terminal bay at Shorapur
110/33/11kv KPTCL substation and 33kv single circuit line with coyote ACSR conductor for
a length of 20km is provided. All materials required for lift are made in the estimate.
Stage-2
The total power requirement for the scheme is 1.5 MVA(Stage-2). The power requirement is
calculated taking into account of no. of working pumps (2 working + 1 for achieving peak
discharge) and auxiliary power supply.
2 x 1.50 MVA 11/0.433kv 1w+1s power transformer with 11kv terminal bay at Shorapur
110/33/11kv KPTCL substation and 11kv single circuit line with rabbit ACSR conductor for a
length of 25km is provided. All materials required for lift are made in the estimate.
