Commission on Autonomous Vehicles
The Commission on Autonomous Vehicles, was established by the 128th Maine Legislature, in April 2018, to coordinate efforts among state agencies and knowledgeable stakeholders to inform the development of a process to allow an autonomous vehicle tester to demonstrate and deploy for testing purposes an automated driving system on a public way. The predecessor to this Commission was the Interagency Working Group on Highly Automated Vehicles, established in January 2017, which continued meeting until May 2018.
