Trail reviews for Zion National Park
The Narrows is a fantastic experience and a must do at Zion National Park. The water flow was low at around 60 CFS and we were able to get by with waders and a hiking stick. There was only one spot early on that went up to my chest. The majority of the time the water was ankle level but I would still recommend the waders since the water was pretty cold and the temp was in the 50s.
Great hike to see Zion. Recommend going first thing in the morning as it gets crowded fast. Wear lots of layers as it was windy and cold at the top.
Water was cold but a very enjoyable hike with the proper gear from Zion Outfitters! Do this hike and check it off your bucket list!
This hike was amazing! If you enjoy moving your body and problem solving, you’ll love this trail. It’s technical in that you will be using your arms and legs to cross rocks but it was definitely not as difficult as the park rangers made it out to be. The Subway was stunning but so was every view along the way. 100% worth it to see Zion without the crowds!
This is a short 20 minute hike up, but the technical elements make it a blast! Total hike about 40 minutes with the most amazing views in Zion NP
The scenery was spectacular. We observed mule deer and scrub jays near the head of the trail. Gradual elevation gain on a sandy trail. It was cold (28 degrees) when we started at about 8AM. It was sunny and clear skies. As the sun rose further we were very comfortable, eventually loosening and shedding layers. If your not familiar with the location of this trail head, the access road to the trail head is about 100 yards inside the East entrance to Zion N P entrance
