A peak hiking experience. I took the West Rim trailhead from Dead Horse Point and made it to Big Horn Point. Staggering. Works better as out and back as the East Rim is not as remote/challenging and the views are best 1/4 mile from the DHP parking lot.

Wow! If you are only going to do one hike at dead horse point, this is the one to do! Incredible viewpoints everywhere you turned. You got to see the whole 360° view. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The trail was very well marked. Shade off and on. Today it was very very breezy so you did have to hold onto your hat. But it was still an incredible hike. As a bonus these were some of the prettiest bathrooms we’ve seen on our trip.

Very impressive views, especially along the East Rim and Dead Horse Point! We started from the East (shorter, easier to follow) and ended with the West. The trail was also easy to make shorter, if needed, by skipping some overlooks and also cutting through Wingate campground to get back to the Visitor Center.

It’s at bit sandy and bumpy at parts, so I would recommend a fat-bike for this trail but overall, it’s a must ride when in Dead Horse Point
