Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • cup shortening

  • 6 large potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Directions

  1. Heat shortening in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add potatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are golden brown. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Serve hot.
