Cava, a Mediterranean fast-casual chain similar to Chipotle, has gained popularity over the years thanks to its delicious and quick pick-up mezze bowls, warm pita wraps, falafel, and dips. Its bowls are filled with Mediterranean staples such as olives, pickled red onions, cucumbers, eggplant, and tabbouleh, with a number of add-on dips and spreads to choose from.

Cava has a limited number of locations throughout the United States, so unless you live near a big city, you might have trouble finding one. If that's the case and you still want to get a taste of its delicious dips, you have a few options. You could either run to your nearest Whole Foods, which paired up with Cava in 2018 to sell a line of dips and spreads, or you can make them at home.

What Is Crazy Feta Dip?

One of Cava's most popular dips is Crazy Feta, its signature spicy feta dip. Crazy Feta is a whipped feta dip made with jalapeño, onions, and olive oil that create a creamy dip with just the right amount of spice.

How To Use Crazy Feta Dip

Crazy Feta Dip can be enjoyed as a dip with pita chips, vegetables, or falafel; as a spread on pita wraps; or a "dressing" for a Mediterranean-inspired salad.

Expert Tips:

  • This dip is not very spicy. If you prefer a spicier dip, add the second half of the jalapeño as well.
  • Garnish with more olive oil, sesame seeds, and fresh herbs of your choice.
  • Store the dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
