Iowa Highway 21 (Iowa21) is a state highway that runs from north to south in central Iowa. It has a length of 97 miles (156km). Iowa21 begins at Iowa 149 west of Hedrick and ends at a freeway interchange with U.S. Highway 20 (US20) in Waterloo.
Route description
Iowa21 begins one mile (1.6km) west of Hedrick and goes north through Delta before intersecting Iowa 92. It proceeds through What Cheer before intersecting Iowa 22 west of Thornburg. It continues north to Deep River where it intersects Iowa 85. After passing through Guernsey, it then intersects Interstate 80, then meets US6. It overlaps with U.S. 6 going eastward, then turns north near Victor. It then intersects Iowa 212 before entering Belle Plaine, then intersects US30. It goes north to Dysart, where it turns west, overlapping with Iowa 8. It then turns north and ends at US20 at the southern city limit of Waterloo.
History
The current version of Iowa21 is the second occurrence of the route number in the state. The first one went north from Ida Grove to the Minnesota border and was eventually replaced by US59.
Alberta Provincial Highway No. 21 is a north-south highway in the province of Alberta, Canada, that parallels Highway 2 (the Queen Elizabeth II Highway), between the Calgary Region and the Edmonton Capital Region.
Highway 21 is approximately 327km (203mi) in length. It begins at the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) in the south, 10km (6.2mi) east of Strathmore, and ends at Fort Saskatchewan where it is succeeded by Highway 15. The final 25km (16mi) of the highway is twinned.
SR21 begins at an intersection with SR204 (Abercorn Street) in Savannah. The route travels to the west, becoming a freeway, and gains the designation of Interstate 516 (I-516) and the unsignedSR421. The routes travel west, then turn to the north at the interchange with Veterans Parkway. At exit 3, US17/SR25 join the freeway from the southwest, and US80/SR26 join the freeway from the northeast. Continuing north, the routes have an interchange with I-16, at which point, US17 departs to the east, concurrent with I-16. At exit 7, US80/SR26 depart to the west, and the routes turn northwestward. After an interchange with SR25, I-516/SR421 end, and SR21 continues its northward route. In Port Wentworth, SR30 joins the route; north of their interchange with I-95, SR30 departs to the west.
In the latter half of the 20th century, Iowa's agricultural economy made the transition to a diversified economy of advanced manufacturing, processing, financial services, information technology, biotechnology, and green energy production. Iowa is the 26th most extensive in land area and the 30th most populous of the 50 United States. Its capital and largest city is Des Moines. Iowa has been listed as one of the safest states in which to live. Its nickname is the Hawkeye State.
With the Missouria and the Otoe, the Ioway are the Chiwere-speaking peoples, claiming the Ho-Chunks as their "grandfathers." Their estimated population of 1,100 (in 1760) dropped to 800 (in 1804), a decrease caused mainly by smallpox, to which they had no natural immunity.
Their name has been said to come from ayuhwa ("asleep"). Early European explorers often adopted the names of tribes from the ethnonyms which other tribes gave them, not understanding that these differed from what the peoples called themselves. Thus, ayuhwa is not an Ioway word. The word Ioway comes from Dakotan ayuxbe via French aiouez. Their autonym (their name for themselves) is Báxoje, pronounced [b̥aꜜxodʒɛ] (alternate spellings: pahotcha, pahucha,), which translates to "grey snow". Báxoje has been incorrectly translated as "dusted faces" or "dusty nose", since the Ioway words use different consonants.

Plot

The film received negative reviews. Rotten Tomatoes reports 15% of surveyed critics liked it, with a 3.9/10 rating average out of 13 reviews.Metacritic gave it a score of 35/100, indicating "generally unfavorable reviews".
Slant Magazine called the film "stupendously slipshod" and "meandering, amateurish sleaze", while The New York Times criticized the lack of subtlety. In a more positive review, The Village Voice praised the film's energy and acting.Monsters and Critics said "This story and the characters in it are as real as the day is long and faithful to all that is good and bad about growing up with ever shrinking horizons."
