MANKATO — The Minnesota Department of Transportation continues to closely monitor state highways in south central and the southwest corner of Minnesota due to flooding caused by heavy rains.

Minnesota 93 between Minnesota 169 and Le Sueur closed at 10:30 a.m. today (Saturday). Motorists should use alternate routes.

Additionally, officials advise that the northbound lanes of Minnesota 169 north of St. Peter will be closed today (June 22) due to flooding. Traffic will be two-way (head-to-head), in the southbound lanes for approximately two miles. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH in this area. When MnDOT reconstructed Minnesota 169, it raised the southbound lanes to handle both north and southbound traffic on Highway 169 and added crossovers for traffic switches.
