Phalon Alexander, professionally known as Jazze Pha (/ˌdʒæzi ˈfeɪ/ JAZ-ee FAY), is an American record producer, songwriter and rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Sho'nuff Records, which American R&B singer-songwriter Ciara was signed to.
Jazze Pha was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. His father is James Alexander, bassist for the Bar-Kays, an influential group on the Memphis soul scene in the 1960s. His mother is a singer named Denise Williams (not to be confused with chart-topping R&B and gospel singer Deniece "Niecy" Williams). Pha was named after the late Phalon Jones, another member of the Bar-Kays, who died in the December 10, 1967 plane crash that also killed three other Bar-Kays members and Otis Redding.
Pha is known for announcing "Ladies and gentlemen" or "This is a Jazze Phizzle production!", both at the beginning and, occasionally, at the end of songs on which he is featured. In 1990, Pha was signed to Elektra Records.
Good luck charm is a charm that is believed to bring good luck. An example of this is a blessing that a minister or a priest gives at the end of a ceremony. Later on, people assumed that spoken words were temporary whereas a solid object is more permanent. Objects that have extraordinary significance such as the splinter believed to be from the cross of Jesus Christ were substituted for the original spoken or sung charms.
Almost any object can be used as a charm. Coins and buttons are good examples. Little things that are given to you make very good lucky charms. It is because of the favorable associations they make. Many souvenir shops have a range of tiny items that may be used as good luck charms. Good luck charms are usually worn on the body although there are exceptions.
The “lucky rabbit charm” was passed on and incorporated into American culture by African slaves that were brought to the Americas. The lucky bag or the “Mojo” is another borrowed idea from African culture. It is used in voodoo ceremonies to carry several lucky objects or spells and intended to cause a specific effect. The concept is that particular objects placed in the bag and charged will create a supernatural effect for the bearer. Even today, mojo bags are still used. Europe also contributed to the concept of lucky charms. Adherents of St. Patrick (the patron saint of Ireland), adopted the Four leaf clover as a symbol of Irish luck because clovers are abundant in the hills of Ireland.
An amulet is an object whose most important characteristic is the power ascribed to it to protect its owner from danger or harm. Amulets are different from talismans as a talisman is believed to bring luck or some other benefit, though it can offer protection as well. Amulets are often confused with pendants—charms that hang from necklaces—any given pendant may indeed be an amulet, but so may any other charm which purports to protect its owner from danger.
Potential amulets include gems, especially engraved gems, statues, coins, drawings, pendants, rings, plants, and animals; even words in the form of a magical spell or incantation to repel evil or bad luck.
The word "amulet" comes from the Latin amulētum; the earliest extant use of the term is in Pliny's Natural History, meaning "an object that protects a person from trouble".
Amulets were particularly prevalent in ancient Roman society, being the inheritor of the ancient Greek tradition, and inextricably linked to Roman religion and magic (see Magic in the Greco-Roman World). Amulets are usually outside of the normal sphere of religious experience though associations between certain gemstones and gods has been suggested, for example, Jupiter is represented on milky chalcedony, Sol on heliotrope, Mars on red jasper, Ceres on green jasper and Bacchus on amethyst. Amulets are worn to imbue the wearer with the associated powers of the gods rather than for any reasons of piety. The intrinsic power of the amulet is also evident from others bearing inscriptions, such as vterfexix (utere fexix) or "good luck to the user." Amulet boxes could also be used, such as the example from part of the Thetford treasure, Norfolk, UK, where a gold box intended for suspension around the neck was found to contain sulphur for its apotropaic qualities.
"Good Luck Charm" is a song recorded by Elvis Presley and published by Gladys Music, Elvis Presley's publishing company, that reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the week ending April 21, 1962. It remained at the top of the list for two weeks. It reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in the week ending 24 May 1962 and stayed there for five weeks. The song was written by Aaron Schroeder and Wally Gold and recorded by Presley in 1961. It completed his second hat-trick of chart topping singles in the UK. "Good Luck Charm" was covered by Travis & Shook on Cape Cod Covers, Vol. 1 "The King". Alvin and the Chipmunks covered the song for "Luck O' The Chipmunks", a 1988 episode of Alvin and the Chipmunks.
An answer song, entitled "Don't Want to Be Another Good Luck Charm", was recorded by Jo (of the duo Judy & Jo). It was released by Capitol Records as catalog number CP-1468 (single).

She's my light
My shining star
She's so dear to me yes she is yes she is
My rabbits foot, my lucky charm
Yes she is yes she is
Whoa whoa whoa oooh
- Everytime that something good happens in my life-
You're always there for me, looking good by my side-
Picture you now, pullin up your panty hose
And you always got that sexy underwear on
So much good has come my way
Since she came in my life
I'll never push you away or brush you off to the side
See girl I, I I....
See my luck has changed for the better.
See I got so much love for you in these arms-
Don't you know that you're my good luck charm.
Where you are forever girl ain't no harm
Ain't nobody else can borrow it, I won't allow it
See I got so much love for you in these arms
Don't you know that you're my good luck charm.
Lovin you forever girl and never do I
Wanna go without, my good luck charm
- Like a rabbits foot on keys, or some lucky dice
All I want or need, I ain't gotta ask twice
Where would I be? what would I do
Without you looking out for me?
Probably be, probably be in these streets.
Without you in my life,
My future ain't the same, no.
And I'm not wanting the blame
Baby I, know I been around, I'm
Tired of messing around, I
Got so much love.
And I'd throw away this ice, and
Give up my J.E. pieces-
Just to get a piece of (your love forever)
And I knew you were a keeper
So babygirl I'm keepin you.
Can't think about letting you go no no
It seems like every situation I been facing,
You know what to do to save me
So I know you bring me love.-
So I'm standing strong like a soldier-
I know how to hold you-
I'm saying this to let you know
I got so. ooh.
See you're my yeah
See you're my
See you're my yeah
