Bobby Hutcherson (born January 27, 1941) in Los Angeles is a jazzvibraphone and marimba player. "Little B's Poem" (from the album Components) is one of his best-known compositions. Hutcherson has influenced younger vibraphonists including Steve Nelson, Joe Locke and Stefon Harris.
Biography
Early life and career
Bobby Hutcherson was born to Eli, a master mason, and Esther, a hairdresser. Hutcherson was exposed to jazz by his brother Teddy, who listened to Art Blakey records in the family home with his friend Dexter Gordon. His older sister Peggy was a singer in Gerald Wilson's orchestra and personally introduced Hutcherson to Eric Dolphy (her boyfriend at the time) and Billy Mitchell. Hutcherson was inspired to take up the vibraphone when he heard Milt Jackson play "Bemsha Swing" on the Miles Davis and the Modern Jazz Giants LP at the age of 12. Still in his teens, Hutcherson began his professional career in the late fifties working with Curtis Amy and Carmell Jones, as well as with Dolphy and Charles Lloyd at Pandora's Box on the Sunset Strip. He made his recording debut on August 3, 1960, cutting two songs for a 7-inch single with the Les McCann trio for Pacific Jazz (released 1961), followed by the LP Groovin' Blue with the Curtis Amy-Frank Butler sextet on December 10 (also released by Pacific Jazz in 1961). In January 1962, Hutcherson joined the Billy Mitchell-Al Grey group for dates at The Jazz Workshop in San Francisco and Birdland in New York City (opposite Art Blakey). After touring with the Mitchell-Grey group for a year, Hutcherson settled in New York City (on 165th street in The Bronx) where he worked part-time as a taxi driver, before fully entering the jazz scene via his childhood friend, bassist Herbie Lewis.
The Moondancers are a fictional DC Comics team of radical pacifist terrorists. They first appeared in World's Finest Comics #295 (September 1983), and were created by David A Kraft, L.B. Kellog and Jerome K. Moore.
Publication history
The Moondancers are radical pacifist terrorists who go about sabotaging military satellites and weapons installations in a misguided attempt to end all wars. Batman was brought in to investigate the scene of one of their assaults. The next time the Moondancers attempt to prevent the launch of a military communications satellite, Batman attempts to stop them and is nearly killed, causing Superman to be summoned.
During a clash with Superman and Batman, the mysterious benefactor of the Moondancers is revealed to be a Japanese scientist named Nakamura, a survivor of Hiroshima who was unhinged by the event. Nakamura is badly wounded after a failed attempt to destroy the satellite himself.
According to the Moondancers they only employ violence in order to bring about world peace. A credo they share with Wonder Woman. Batman and Superman let the trio go, because as Batman says "We can't condone their methods.. but we can't condemn them for their goals...".
Crescent Moon(Japanese:未完の月,Hepburn:Mikan no Tsuki) is the English title of the shōjomangaMikan no Tsuki (literally An Incomplete Moon)), written by Haruko Iida in partnership with Red Company. It was originally published by Kadokawa Shoten beginning in 2000 and serialized in Asuka Comics, and it was translated into English by Tokyopop. It is collected in six volumes.
Story
The plot deals with Mahiru Shiraishi, a young woman with the ability to grant others good fortune by touching them. She herself does not benefit from this good fortune, and occasionally laments that this is because she has given all of her luck away to others.
Mahiru begins to have recurring dreams of a demon, and these dreams soon lead to her becoming entangled with the "Lunar Race" — a collection of creatures of folklore such as vampires, werewolves, kitsune, and tengu. These creatures' powers are related to the phase of the moon, strongest when the moon is full and weakest when it is new.

The moon changes its shape almost every night. But why? The phases of the moon are caused by the light from the sun and the moon's orbit around the Earth. From new moon through waxing crescent, quarter, gibbous, full moon, and waning back to new moon again, come learn about the cycle of shapes the moon takes (or rather, appears to take) as it travels around our planet.

Reach a hand to the crescent moon Grab hold of the hollow If she sits in the palm of the left That moon will be fuller tomorrow If she sits in the palm of the right That moon is on the wane And the love of the one who shares your bed Will be doing just the same ?Won't you come with me??, she said ?There's plenty of room in my iron bed You're looking cold and tired and more than a little human I know I'm not part of the life you had planned But I think once your body feels my hand Your mind will change and your heart will lose it's pain? Out among the fields gently hipped beneath the corn Assiniboine bones beneath the highway He stood there and he thought of home A finger traces the path of a satellite You're drawn to a distant copse of trees A voice as sweet as Mare's tail clings to the prairie breeze ?Won't you come with me??, she said ?There's plenty of room in my iron bed You're looking cold and tired and more than a little human I know I'm not part of the life you had planned But I think once your body feels my hand Your mind will change and your heart will lose it's pain? Do I reach for you when I know you're on the wane? Do I sense you when I know you're not around? Do I search for you when I know you can't be found? Do I dare to speak your name? Raise your eyes to a moonless sky And try to wish upon a rising star Search all you want for her blessing But you won't find her sparkling there Now cast your eyes to a part of the sky Where nothing but darkness unfolds And watch as all around you She reveals the brilliance of secrets untold ?Won't you come with me??, she said ?There's plenty of room in my iron bed You're looking cold and tired and more than a little human I know I'm not part of the life you had planned But I think once your body feels my hand Your mind will change and your heart will lose it's pain? Do I reach for you when I know you're on the wane? Do I sense you when I know you're not around? Do I search for you when I know you can't be found?
