The campers square off in a challenge where they must trap a certain animal. One person gets a delicious meal as a reward for catching their animal first, while two people form a temporary alliance. Two people get shot with a tranquilizer dart by an unstable contestant while two others have very bad luck. This all leads up to someone getting voted off once again.
Plot[]
The episode begins with the seven remaining campers walking through the camp. Owen apologetically approaches Izzy with a handful of flowers with romantic intentions. She bitterly ignores him, still angry at him for possibly putting her life in danger when he pushed her into the path of a "psycho killer" just to save himself in the previous episode. Owen tells her that he would never leave her, but then suddenly disappears. When the other campers gather to ask where Owen is, they find him caught in a snare trap, hanging upside down in the tree above them. Another trap goes off and a wooden cage falls on the rest of the campers. Chris arrives on the scene with a beaver on his head and a hunting knife to tell them to meet at the main lodge for breakfast and the next challenge. He then throws the knife to cut Owen from the tree, who lands on top of the cage, causing it to open and release all the campers.
In the main lodge, the campers are served paste, with Chris congratulating them on becoming the final seven campers remaining.
Duncan |
“ | What are my chances of winning? I'd say they're pretty darn great because anyone who doesn't vote for me is a dead man. Are you listening out there, all of you who have been kicked off? If you don't vote for me, I'll find you! | ” |
Geoff |
“ | I am so stoked! The final seven, and I'm going all the way, dudes! Woohoo! I think I got a good shot at winning. Heck, I won student council president two years running, and I didn't even give a speech! I can do this, man. Woohoo! | ” |
Owen |
“ | I can't believe I'm in the final seven! Can you imagine me, winning?! [laughs] That would be awesome! Whoo-hoo-hoo! Everyone else here totally deserves it more than I do, though. Except Heather. She's really mean. I'm not afraid of her though. [interrupted by Heather] Just about done. | ” |
Chris explains the next challenge: catching a wild animal and bringing it back to camp unharmed. After a quick lesson on rangers and game wardens, they are told the prize for winning: a meal of all their favorite foods. The campers meet at the boathouse to draw lots for their animal assignments:
Owen gets a chipmunk; Leshawna draws a frog; Duncan picks a raccoon; Gwen ends up with a duck; Geoff gets a beaver; Izzy gets a deer, which she is excited about; and Heather ends up with a bear, much to her disappointment. Declaring the challenge impossible, Heather almost quits until Chris tells her the punishment for failing the challenge: cleaning the communal bathrooms, which are a mess thanks to Owen's overindulgence in breakfast paste. Heather reluctantly agrees to take the challenge.
The campers are given 60 seconds in the boathouse to collect anything useful for catching their respective animals. The campers rummage around inside. Leshawna looks in a box and throws away things she finds useless; Geoff tries to use brute force to crack a shark's jawbone; Heather, confused, holds a rubber chicken while Gwen finds a net, which Heather sees and tries to steal from her. Owen is seen carrying a rope with a hook, while Izzy holds a lifeguard float as the camera pans. Duncan is then seen with an oar, which he throws away as he finds a sledgehammer, which Gwen and Heather ask him if it is useful for a raccoon, and he agrees as he holds a chainsaw. Owen finds paper towels, while Geoff has a burlap bag, before Chris tells them they have ten seconds left. Izzy considers the stacked boxes and a barrel in front of her and decides to take them all, which Duncan questions if it's legal. Heather and Gwen argue over a net until Gwen spots some duck bait, so Gwen lets go of the net, causing Heather to fall into a bucket that she thinks still has fish in it. Heather assures Gwen that the net is all hers, but she doubts that it can hold a bear, just as Heather tries to reach Gwen, but ends up falling instead.
|
|
Heather still thinks she has no chance of catching a bear and desperately goes through Izzy's crates until she finds a tranquilizer gun. Chris tells them it's game on, and everyone but Duncan and Heather run off.
Duncan |
“ | See, now Heather, she was my competition. And as much as it made me wanna hurl, I knew I had to get on her good side. | ” |
Knowing that Heather is serious competition, Duncan approaches her and offers to help her out in exchange for an alliance to get to the final two. Heather declines the offer, but Duncan figures she'll be back. Then, out in the woods, Gwen lays out piles of duck bait to lure the duck to her, but when it gets close, it sees her, sticks out its tongue, and runs away, much like the Roadrunner, while Leshawna finds a frog and tries to catch it with a bucket.
|
|
When Leshawna gets close enough, the frog jumps away several times, but she falls into a deep puddle and declares war on the frog. At the bear's den, Heather tries to lure the bear out with a bucket of garbage, but a roar from inside scares her away. Duncan finds a lone raccoon and tries to persuade it to follow him, but a large group of raccoons approaches from behind. Duncan tries to confront them with the chainsaw, but they pile on top of each other to form a large furry monster that resembles a transformer robot. Izzy is hunting deer near the camp and fires three tranquilizer darts at the first moving object, which happens to be Chef.
Izzy |
“ | Oh, my gosh, I should totally win! Okay, you know that time I dressed up as a bear and like, scared everyone and I was like, 'Rahhh!' and they were like, 'Ahhh! Save me!' Well, if someone else dressed up as a bear and it wasn't me, I totally wouldn't have been scared! I would've known, which makes me smarter than they are. Oh, did I mention I have an IQ of 188? Because I do! Ha, ha! | ” |
Gwen is seen chasing the duck as Heather runs past both of them. The raccoon monster chases Duncan, firing raccoons from its "arm cannon" until one knocks him off a cliff. Duncan recovers, only to find the furry beast sitting on his head.
Owen climbs a tree to catch a chipmunk, and he babbles on about being a naturalist and a friend to all living things, trying to reason with the chipmunk to come quietly. After declaring that he loves it, the rodent bites Owen on the nose, and the branch he is on collapses. Elsewhere in the woods, a unicorn stops at a pond for a drink of water, then collapses when Izzy stuns it with a tranquilizer. Heather is back at camp, complaining about catching a bear, when Gwen runs in, baiting the duck; she tells Heather to open the cage, and Gwen tosses the bait in, catching her animal and winning the challenge. Gwen continues to talk about what she wants to eat, naming various duck-related foods, when Duncan arrives, ripping the raccoon off his head, and tossing it into the cage. Duncan makes a second offer to Heather, showing her a pair of deer antlers. Heather accepts, looking for help and a new alliance.
Heather |
“ | He's evil, manipulative, sketchy, and completely unpredictable. I like the way he thinks. And since I'm seriously in the market for a new alliance, bring on Mr. Delinquent. | ” |
At a beaver dam, Geoff swims underneath to find a family of beavers sitting at a dinner table in their modestly decorated home, and they hit him with their tails. Geoff tries to be friendly with them, telling them not to make him angry, but they ignore him and continue to beat him. Meanwhile, high in the sky, a yellow plane flies overhead. However, one of Izzy's tranquilizer darts hits it in the wing, causing it to crash to the ground.
Izzy |
“ | Yeah, genius runs in my family, and psychotherapy. Uh-huh. Once at my family barbecue, my uncle cut off his ear with a steak knife to emulate Van Gogh because he's like, all artistic, but he chickened out and only cut half of it off, and it was like ha-hanging there! It was so gross! I swear, I think some of it ended up in my salad. | ” |
Leshawna tries again to catch the frog, this time with a piece of cheese on a stick, the frog shows little interest and Leshawna gets closer but falls into another deep puddle. Owen is still chasing the chipmunk, this time on the ground, but he's not paying attention and runs into a low-hanging branch. Duncan explains his plan to catch a bear, which involves Heather wearing the deer outfit and luring the bear back to camp.
Duncan |
“ | It's what they call a win-win. She succeeds, and I have an alliance. She loses, and she gets eaten by a bear. | ” |
Back at camp, Geoff brings the entire beaver dam to the cage and dumps the beaver family in. A very muddy Leshawna arrives next with the frog in the bucket and dumps it in as well. Izzy is hunting for a deer with a camouflage hat and wooden antlers, and when she thinks she's found one, she shoots it with a tranquilizer dart. When the bear runs by, followed by Duncan, she thinks she has succeeded and goes to the fallen animal. Duncan sees Izzy and asks if she has seen Heather, who then stumbles out of the bush and collapses, the tranquilizer dart lodged firmly in her butt. Owen has chased the chipmunk all the way to the camp and is trying to corral it into the cage, running all over the place and even crashing into the table where Gwen is trying to eat her specially prepared victory dinner. Finally, the chipmunk goes into the cage and Owen tells Chris to close the door, but he closes it after Owen runs into the cage behind the chipmunk. Owen is now in the cage with the other trapped animals and tries to be nice to them, but they attack him instead.
At the campfire ceremony, everyone sits down to receive their marshmallows except a paralyzed Heather who is strapped to a board with the so-called "butt dart" still in place. Chris throws the marshmallows to Geoff, Owen, Leshawna, Duncan, and bounces one off Heather's head, leaving Gwen and Izzy as the last two. While Chris drums up the suspense, a semi-conscious Heather tells him to just give it to Gwen, which he does. Izzy graciously accepts defeat, then throws a smoke bomb on the ground and disappears. Since Heather is the only contestant left who did not catch her animal, she is the one who has to clean the washroom. Because of her injury, she asks Duncan for help.
In the bathroom, Duncan is inside cleaning while Heather is outside bossing him around and filing her nails, even though she is supposed to be paralyzed. When Duncan sticks his head out the door, he sees that Heather is fine, but then she goes back to acting paralyzed. When he asks her about her paralysis, she tells him that it's coming back, like the memories of him giving her the shot, which she will never let him forget. Duncan backs down and goes back to scrubbing the showers, which Heather tells him to do with Gwen's toothbrush.

Trivia[]
General[]
- This is the first elimination episode where immunity is not gained through the challenge, i.e. a reward-only challenge, as Gwen is in the bottom two despite winning.
- With Izzy's elimination, all official couples are now separated.
- With Izzy's elimination, all of the original female members of the Killer Bass have been eliminated.
- Izzy's reason for elimination in this episode is similar to Sadie's in "Who Can You Trust?," when their uncontrolled shooting accidentally knocked out her teammates Heather and Courtney, respectively.
- In this episode, Heather referred to Izzy by her label, "The Psycho Hose Beast".
- Heather used synonyms instead of the labels to refer to some of the other contestants:
- Duncan as a "criminal" (instead of "delinquent").
- Heather used synonyms instead of the labels to refer to some of the other contestants:
Continuity[]
- This is the first episode where all the remaining contestants use the confessional.
- Owen once again narrates while chasing an animal, something he previously did in "Paintball Deer Hunter" when he chased DJ dressed as a deer.
- Izzy mentions the time she scared her team in "The Sucky Outdoors" by dressing up as a bear.
- This is the second time that Izzy leaves the show in an unconventional way, not taking the Boat of Losers, this time throwing a smoke bomb on the ground and disappearing when it clears.
- However, this is the first time she is actually eliminated by votes, as she left the competition back in "Up the Creek".
References[]
- The title of the episode could be a parody of the show Girls Gone Wild.
- This episode contains several references to classic movies and TV shows:
- Gwen's duck behaves like the character from Looney Tunes, the Roadrunner, both in its running style and abilities, and in the way it sticks its tongue out at Gwen and kicks up its heels before taking off. Gwen stands in for Wile E. Coyote in these scenes.
- The Transformers: When Duncan says "That's more than meets the eye," the raccoons unite as one, much like the Combiner teams (Constructicons, Aerialbots, etc.).
- The roar of the assembled raccoons is similar to that of Godzilla.
- The Incredible Hulk: Geoff's line, "Beavers, don't make me angry… you wouldn't like me when I'm angry!"
- In pursuit of her frog, Leshawna encounters the bottomless puddle immortalized in the Laurel & Hardy movies.
- Izzy mentions the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh during one of her confessionals.
Goofs[]
- When the contestants are seen running after Chris starts the challenge, Geoff's eye color is black instead of blue.
- When Geoff goes into the beaver's lodge, his hat is misshapen because it is wet. However, when the beaver hits him with its tail, his hat looks normal again.
- Also, when he is in the dam, the blue patch on his hat is not blue, but the same color as the rest of his hat.
- When Gwen and Heather fight over the net, Gwen hits Heather in the head, but it is Gwen's voice that says "Ow!" in response to the blow.
- As Gwen prepares for her meal, there is nothing to eat on the table, but Chris says, "Wow, that all looks good!"
