The final six campers are split into three pairs and must compete in three team-based challenges where everybody is handcuffed to their partner. Some duos have trouble working together, while another pair becomes friends with one other. All three teams win one challenge each, meaning nobody is safe. In the end, one of the nicest campers is voted off the island because his popularity is seen as a threat.
Plot[]
The episode begins three days after the previous episode's challenge, with a sleeping Owen having a pleasant dream about being naked in a world of floating cheese and "doughnut-copters". Just as he reaches the climax of his dream, he is awakened by the sound of Leshawna yelling at a passing helicopter to keep its noise down. Owen thinks he hears the doughnut-copter from his dream, much to the confusion of his fellow campers. Chris then appears in a plane and welcomes viewers back to the island, where he mentions the eliminated contestants in the order in which they were eliminated: Ezekiel, Eva, Noah, Justin, Katie, Tyler, Izzy, Cody, Beth, Sadie, Courtney, Harold, Eva (again), Trent, Bridgette, Lindsay, DJ, and Izzy (again). When he lands, he announces that the next challenge will be the "Tri-Armed Triathlon", a series of three challenges that the campers will perform in pairs, handcuffed together, similar to a three-legged race. The winning pair will gain invincibility. Then, in the confessional, the remaining campers share their experiences so far:
|
In the main lodge, Leshawna and Duncan, Owen and Heather, and Gwen and Geoff are handcuffed together for the first challenge: an eat-off where one team member must force-feed the other. The eater has to keep both arms behind their back, leaving the feeder with only one arm to use. Chris also mentions the wimp key, a key that opens the handcuffs and is offered at several points during the challenges. Any team that uses the key is separated from their partner and excused from participating in the challenges, but they are also both eliminated from the competition and thus cannot win invincibility. However, whoever finishes all the food on their platter first wins the first challenge. Leshawna and Duncan immediately start arguing about who feeds who, Geoff's casual attitude continues to annoy Gwen, and Heather realizes that her arms are almost too short to reach the table when Owen puts his arms behind his back. The seemingly normal food is brought out, and Heather notices that the chicken is strangely green. Geoff and Gwen continue to argue about who will eat and who will feed, with Geoff accepting all options and Gwen unable to make a decision. Leshawna and Duncan arm wrestle to see who gets to decide, but Duncan cheats and uses both arms when Leshawna is about to win, infuriating her.
In an attempt to win the challenge, Leshawna stuffs Duncan's face when he asks her to slow down between bites, but she ignores him. Gwen tries to get Geoff into a rhythm to speed up his eating, but he keeps stopping to comment on how good the food is, and Gwen angrily tells him that they have to finish the food, not enjoy it. Owen's mouth is wide open and Heather keeps pouring spoonfuls of food into it, but he tells her to go faster. At first, Heather refrains from going faster, thinking that Chris won't count it if they drop food, but eventually Heather drops the spoon and decides to play to Owen's strengths by picking up the whole tray and smashing it in his face. Heather and Owen win the first challenge, and Heather compliments Owen on the great teamwork.

Owen then reveals that he has to go to the bathroom and is seen running to the bathroom, farting up a storm, with Heather in tow. In the confessional, Heather (breathing into a paper bag) says that Owen is disgusting and plans to issue a restraining order "on his oversized butt" if she makes it out alive, and tells him not to be offended by what she said, to which he says he is not. Before the next stage begins, the campers are given the opportunity to use the wimp key, as they won't have the chance once this challenge begins. Duncan and Leshawna dare each other to take it, and Owen suggests that he and Heather use it since they don't really like each other, but Heather shoots down the idea.

“ | It was worth a try! Heather scares me. | ” |
The next challenge is to go to the beach, take a canoe and paddle to Boney Island, where they will find a package waiting for them. Duncan and Leshawna are still arguing; Heather continues to cheer on Owen as he pushes the boat into the water; and Geoff irritates Gwen even more by telling her about how he and his friend Jay dug up their friend's lawn and planted it in the foyer of their school. On the water, Leshawna continues to press Duncan on being a softy underneath, mentioning that she noticed he had a crush on Courtney and that she told him what Duncan did for DJ with his bunny. Duncan confesses his good deed and reveals that his dog, Petey, ran away when he was a kid, and he didn't want DJ to feel the same way. Owen is then seen talking about how no one listens to him, and Heather interrupts to say she doesn't care. She then sees the shoreline and the package.
On shore first, Heather and Owen find a backpack and open it. Inside they find the pieces of the tiki idol that Beth took from Boney Island in the episode "Up the Creek." Chris reveals that Beth never returned the doll as she told the other campers, and instead broke it into pieces and flushed it down the disgusting septic tank. The next challenge is to take one of the pieces and return it to the Cave of Treacherous Terror as quickly as possible, because the longer you hold on to the doll, the more cursed you become. As a final twist, the campers have to ride piggyback.
Owen and Geoff pick up Heather and Gwen respectively, while Duncan and Leshawna get into an argument about Leshawna's weight. After a while, Geoff and Gwen stop when she thinks they're lost, and Geoff starts taking pictures of the surrounding woods while Gwen tries to get her bearings. This pushes Gwen over the edge, and she grabs the camera and throws it into a nearby pond, then worriedly demands that Geoff take things more seriously and stop pretending to be her friend. Geoff replies that he is not pretending, that he really wants to be her friend, and that if they went to the same school, he would definitely invite her to his parties, but that he thinks she would never want to go. Gwen reveals that she has never been to a party, and that there were times when she wished she was a happy, vapid girl who went to parties, but in the end, she just doesn't think partying is in her DNA. Geoff tells her that there is no such thing as party DNA and that partying is a state of mind. He declares that he will invite her to a party when the show is over, cheering a "Whoo!" at the end of his sentence. Gwen admits that she is not ready for the whooing, but Geoff assures her that they will work on it.
At the cave, Owen and Heather are the first to arrive, but there is a huge spider in the entrance, and when it lands on Owen's forehead, he panics and flees with Heather. Leshawna, carrying Duncan, arrives to see Owen and Heather running out of there. When they get to the cave, they have their own encounter with the wooly beavers and run away as well. Geoff and Gwen arrive last, and Gwen thinks they've already lost, but Geoff thinks they're still in it and throws the tiki piece into the cave, winning the challenge. Gwen tells him, "That was amazing!" and allows herself to whoo, which makes Geoff laugh.

“ | Don't think I'm some mindless party animal just 'cause I let loose with Geoff. That guy just brings out the party in people. | ” |
The campers regroup around three picnic tables, and Chris updates the score: one point for Heather and Owen, one point for Geoff and Gwen, and nothing for Duncan and Leshawna. Chris then goes to one of the tables and lifts the cover, revealing the wooden heads of the losers, which scares Owen. Heather dismisses his fear before seeing two Evas, which she admits is disturbing. The final challenge is to build a totem pole out of the heads in the order in which the campers were voted off, which Chris listed at the beginning of the episode, with Ezekiel at the bottom and Izzy at the top. Since Eva and Izzy were voted off twice, they have two wooden heads.
Heather badmouths the losers as she picks up their heads, starting with Lindsay and Beth, calling them both dumb and traitors, while Owen makes more statements about how hot Justin looks. Geoff and Gwen try to put the totem together but have trouble telling the difference between Katie and Sadie. Chris checks in on Duncan and Leshawna and sees that Duncan has carved "D+C" in a big heart on the back of Courtney's head. Chris teases Duncan until Leshawna steps in and nails him with a Sadie head in Duncan's defense. Heather continues to put down the losers and picks up one of the Izzy heads and keeps insulting her despite Owen telling her to stop. Her taunting finally drives Owen over the edge, and he drags her off, insisting that he needs the wimp key. However, Duncan and Leshawna have correctly completed their totem pole, ending the challenge. With all three teams tied, none of the campers get invincibility.

“ | Mama always said, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” In which case Heather would say nothing ever! She is the meanest, the nastiest, the big— [censor beep] in all of Kalamazoo! No offense. | ” |
Owen |
“ | Mama always said, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” In which case Heather would say nothing ever! She is the meanest, the nastiest, the biggest cold-hearted meanie in all of Kalamazoo! No offense. | ” |
Heather |
“ | Oh, none taken. I sort of respect you for it. ... Never do it again! | ” |
Afterwards, in the confessional, Owen finally lets out how mean Heather is, right next to Heather, who surprisingly is not offended and instead respects him for speaking up, but tells him to never say things like that again.
At the campfire ceremony, Chris gives marshmallows to Leshawna, Duncan, Heather and Owen. With Geoff and Gwen remaining, Gwen thinks her time is up and admits defeat, but Chris tells her to sit down and then gives her the last marshmallow. Gwen is shocked that Geoff is being voted out because he's the nicest guy there, but Duncan, Owen and Heather reveal that's exactly why he has to go. Since he is popular with the others, if Geoff makes it to the finale, their lack of popularity would help Geoff win, so he has to go. Geoff accepts his fate and heads to the Dock of Shame.
On the way, Gwen stops him and gives him back his camera she fished out of the pond on Boney Island. She tells Geoff that it has a little bit of Lake Wawanakwa in it, which Geoff thinks makes it a better souvenir. Gwen is about to say goodbye when Geoff grabs her and takes a picture of them, complete with a small fish and water in the picture.

Trivia[]
General[]
- With Geoff's elimination, Duncan is the only remaining member of Killer Bass. In addition, all remaining contestants will qualify for the next two seasons.
- Geoff is also the last contestant to be regularly eliminated this season.
- No one wins Invincibility in this episode, as each team won one round of competition.
- This would happen again in a challenge later in the series in "This Is the Pits!" (Pahkitew Island). However, this would be during a pre-merge challenge.
- The picture Geoff takes of himself and Gwen is a tribute to Camp TV, where Geoff and Gwen (who was then called Heather) were supposed to be a couple.
- In the same episode, Leshawna beating Duncan in Boney Island while Gwen and Geoff look at them is a reference to her beating Tyler after saying "Have a cow. What's the big deal?" near the end of Camp TV trailer.
Continuity[]
- The tiki idol makes its first appearance since "If You Can't Take The Heat...".
- Flashbacks from "Up the Creek" were shown with Beth picking up the idol.
- Although she claimed in "If You Can't Take the Heat..." that she would return the idol to Boney Island, Beth simply broke it into three pieces and flushed it down the toilet.
- Leshawna brings up the incident with DJ's bunny and reveals that Courtney told her about it.
- This is the third time in the recap that Chris doesn't actually say who got kicked out in the previous episode (although he does show Izzy disappearing in a puff of smoke). The other occasions were:
- "Basic Straining": Chris doesn't mention Sadie's elimination (nor is her elimination shown).
- "Search and Do Not Destroy": Chris does not mention Eva's second elimination.
- This is the third time Chris has mentioned an actual episode title during an episode. The others are:
- "Phobia Factor" and "No Pain, No Game" (during its recap in the next episode, "Search and Do Not Destroy").
- This is the second time someone has sworn at Heather. In this case, Owen swore at her in the confessional.
- Gwen mentions Katie getting voted off fifth, this was true, as what Geoff said about Sadie having a fear of bad haircuts, which episode aired after the fifth elimination.
- Duncan remembers about Geoff not voting for Bridgette in "Hide and Be Sneaky" and how he messed up, which is probably another reason why Duncan votes for him.
- Owen exclaims "place at the table!" over being in the final six, the same phrase Tyler used when receiving a marshmallow in "Not So Happy Campers-Part 2."
References[]
- This episode's title is referenced to the triathlon, a kind of race consisting of three parts: running, cycling, and swimming.
Goofs[]
- As Heather feeds Owen during the first challenge, her right arm separates from her waist.
- Owen is supposed to be handcuffed by his right arm to Heather's left arm; however, while pushing the canoe, he is handcuffed by his left arm, even though Heather is still handcuffed by her left arm.
- The two are also shown to be unattached when Heather blows into an airbag in her confessional.
- At the beginning of the second part of the challenge, Duncan and Leshawna are arguing, and Leshawna calls herself little Leshawna. After repeating the word little, Duncan's mouth continues to move, but no words are spoken.
- In the remastered version of the episode, the "DxC" carving on the back of Courtney's wooden head was cut out.
- At the beginning of the episode, when Chris wakes up all the campers, they are all in their pajamas. However, after Chris lists the eliminated campers, they appear to be in their regular clothes.
- The size of Heather and Owen's tiki idol piece varies from moment to moment:
- When Heather takes it out of her bag, she has two pieces instead of one.
- When it lies in the sand after Heather dropped it, the tiki idol is whole.
- When Geoff puts his hand behind his back to argue with Gwen after Gwen reveals she's never been to a party, the cufflink is missing, but Gwen's hand still sticks out. It reappears a split second later.
- When Chris announces the winner of the final challenge on Geoff and Gwen's table, DJ's wooden head is neither on the totem pole nor on the table. However, in the next shot, his head is to the right of the totem pole.
- When Heather and Owen are in their canoe together, the canoe is level with the water, but in "Up the Creek," when they share a canoe, Owen's side is heavier than Heather's.
- When Leshawna is about to jump on Duncan for insulting her again, part of his waist is missing.
- During the Totem Pole Challenge, there are several goofs where some campers' heads are shown twice, such as when Geoff and Gwen are trying to remember if Katie or Sadie was voted out fifth and there are two Sadie and DJ heads on their table. Also, there are two Lindsay heads on Geoff and Gwen's table when Chris is taunting Duncan during the Totem Pole challenge.
