Monsoon is a robot that appears as an enemy in the video games Battle for Bikini Bottom and Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated.

Description[]

Monsoon is a robot that wears a big pair of glasses. It has a red and white umbrella on its head, allowing it to float in the air (meaning attacks that can head upwards are its main weaknesses). and a propeller on its back. It also carries a remote that it uses to generate and control electrically charged storm clouds. He also has a green mouth.

In the remake, Monsoon's umbrella is now rainbow colored and its body has a blockier design. Its normally green eyes now turn red when it's attacking; additionally, Monsoon's eyes also have eyelids and it's typically seen squinting and the propeller now requires pedals to move. His mouth is also now movable.

Abilities[]

  • Storm Cloud Attack

Role in game[]

Monsoons are semi-common enemies. They make their debut appearance in Goo Lagoon, where one of them is seen shocking a Bikini Bottomite with its storm cloud attack. Once a Monsoon spots the player, it will send a storm cloud towards them, which then attempts to strike the player with lightning. Monsoons are immune to their own storm clouds. Monsoons can be very difficult to defeat even on their own since they are usually too far out of reach to hit with a grounded attack, as they stay above their target with their umbrella. The best way to destroy one is with SpongeBob's Bubble Bash or Cruise Bubble techniques. Patrick can also throw a tiki at them, and Sandy can attack with her lasso.

They are found in Goo Lagoon, Rock Bottom Museum, Sand Mountain, Kelp Forest, and Chum Bucket Lab. Destroying a Monsoon will award the player 60 Shiny Objects.
