Has the most vicious smack attack, hands down. Expert foot masseuse, lemon squeezer and does delightful hand puppet shows.

G-Love is a robot that appears as an enemy in the video game Battle for Bikini Bottom and its remake Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated. They make their debut appearance in Downtown Bikini Bottom after SpongeBob makes his way past his first Spongeball gate. Here, two of them attack a citizen, playing tennis with him as the ball and their own hands as rackets, but Gary interrupts their game.

Description[]

The G-Love is a green and purple robot that looks like a flying saucer. The enemy has five hands with large white gloves covering them. G-Loves also have a pair of antennae sticking out their front and a green dome in the center.

In the remake, the pair of antennae was taken out and only one is placed on top of their glass dome, which now contains a red siren. The siren will turn green whenever the enemy is not attacking.

Abilities[]

  • Smack attack
  • Massaging
  • Lemon squeezing
  • Hand puppetry

Role in game[]

G-Loves are semi-common enemies that first appear in Downtown Bikini Bottom. Once they spot the player, they start spinning their hands around their body and attempt to fly into the player. If the enemy manages to damage a player (or if their allies or the enemy themself manages to kill the player), they will clap happily. G-Loves usually appear in groups of two or three. Due to their spin attack, G-Loves cannot be attacked safely from the side; as a sign that introduces the robot hints, the best way to defeat a G-Love is using SpongeBob or Patrick's ground pound attacks from above them, although one can defeat the enemy with Sandy's lasso. Upon being lassoed, G-Loves turn their top side away from whatever location Sandy is at as she catches all five of their hands, and then get tossed in a random lateral direction when she reels the rope in.

They are found in Downtown Bikini Bottom, Goo Lagoon, the Mermalair, the Kelp Forest, and SpongeBob's Dream. Destroying a G-Love earns the player 40 Shiny Objects.

Trivia[]

  • The enemy's name is a pun on the word "glove," referring to the large gloves it wears on its hands.
