"Carol Danvers' DNA. Along with the Avengers that you and your team collected. The Harvest."
G'iah to Gravik[src]

The Harvest is the collection of various DNA samples of enhanced individuals and creatures, harvested by the Skrulls on Nick Fury's order.

History[]

Collected[]

"Nearly every Avenger spilled blood in the Battle of Earth. Even Carol Danvers. In the aftermath, some were sent in to collect that DNA. Some with the ability to blend in."

In the aftermath of the Battle of Earth, multiple Avengers spilled their blood, even Carol Danvers. Nick Fury sent out a group of Skrulls, led by Gravik, to collect the DNA samples, remaining unnoticed. Fury hid the vial with harvested DNA at his grave storage in Finland.[1]

Sought by Skrulls[]

"You told me Fury hid the Avengers' DNA, but it wasn't in any of the locations you provided."
Pagon to Gravik[src]

Desiring to take over the Earth and make Skrulls stronger, Gravik had "Rosa" and "Victor Dalton" construct the Super-Skrull Machine and ordered Pagon to find the Harvest. However, it was not at any of the locations Gravik knew of, so the Skrull Resistance only had the DNA samples of Groot, Cull Obsidian and a Frost Beast, as well as a sample of Extremis, to work with.[2]

Eventually, Gravik had Raava reveal New Skrullos' coordinates to President James Ritson, which would mean a full-scale war between the United States and Russia. He planned to use it as leverage on Nick Fury to convince him to give him the Harvest in exchange for preventing the war. Together with Sonya Falsworth, Fury arrived in Finland and collected the Harvest from the grave storage.[1]

Trivia[]

  • While the Harvest's intent was to possess the DNA of all powered individuals who participated in the Battle of Earth, not all of them had their DNA acquired. Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Rocket, Nebula, Miek, Wanda Maximoff and Howard the Duck, all of whom are beings whose powers are ingrained within their DNA, did not have their genetic samples included in the Harvest vial.
    • However, neither Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon or Howard the Duck displayed any superpowered feats during the Battle of Earth, as Star-Lord did not have access to his Celestial abilities while Rocket and Howard are merely viewed as anthropomorphic Earth animals.
