The Yellow Mountains were an ancient mountain range located in the south-east of Endor (Middle-earth) between the ancient Sea of Ringil and the ancient Eastern Sea.[1]
History[]
The Yellow Mountains were one of the seven mountain ranges that came into existence after Melkor struck down the Two Lamps. However, the Yellow Mountains do not appear on maps of Arda during the time of the Awakening of the Elves in name.[1] The Yellow Mountains location in the world is also seen on varying maps of the Dark Lands or South Land, but the information on its exact whereabouts is very unclear.
