I had a really fun time watching this sequel, and honestly I couldn't ask for more.

Story-wise is not that much, the plot is not that all captivating, but I wasn't expecting it to be really, I went for it for all the other reasons, and honesty for me it worked real well that way.

It has all that gothic glamour that one may expect from it, the whole Burtonesque aesthetic is on point, the make up effects are really good, and although not always, the 80s vibe recreation mixed with the present time elements is generally well achieved, and of course, an amazing Elfman score.

As for the new characters I liked Jenna, I think that among younger actresses she is kind of an obvious choice nowadays for this type of stories and visuals, De Vito gives a brief but very funny appearance, one that reminded me is great performance as Penguin, but the highlight for me was clearly Dafoe, his character fortunately has plenty of screen time and he made every second of it count.
On the other hand, Bellucci's character (beautiful as ever, born to wear black) as a fantastic presentation sequence, one that may lead us to think that she will be a major character in the movie, but she ends up being almost irrelevant.

The retuning cast are all very good really, Keaton still has the juice (bad easy joke, sorry), Wynona is just that perfect embodiment of gothic weirdo greatness and O'Hara crushed it once again.

So, for the looks, the score, the make up, the whole aesthetic of it, yeah, it was one fun ride for me.
