Hello.

As usual, with this Paint Drying post, this is a non-traditional movie review/log.

It has been a sad and disappointing day. Obviously Donald Trump being President of the United States again is truly a difficult thing to think about. It's baffling and upsetting that the GOP would let this happen again after 8 years. I thought for sure that we would have the first woman President with Kamala Harris but I guess not.

Recently I've also haven't been doing well mentally in terms of being in the final stretch of my college years, and just thinking about what's been going on with the world has hit me with a wave of anxiety and depression. I would love to live in a timeline where there isn't so much hate in the world. A society where there is no racism, misogyny, and bigotry, and this country wasn't run by a bunch of idiots.

America has a long history of setbacks, we thought a dem like Joe Biden would make things better, but the result of its neo-liberal leadership unfortunately led to the Reps taking it back. Not only is Trump being President severly affects our democracy, it's going to affect multiple countries including Palestine.

To all of my friends that are affected by the recent election, you all matter. This Letterboxd space is a safe place for the LGBTQ community and POCs. I've been reaching to all of my friends telling them that everything is going to be ok, and I suggest that all of you do the same. Reach out to your closest friends, become an activist for your community, share your voice etc. it is important to keep going and hope for a better democracy.

Also, I'm also here to ask how is everyone doing like really? I know that this is going to sound cheesy af but it's ok not to be ok. You can sound off if you're not and we all just yap about how America sucks rn. But fr, I can promise all of you that everything's going to be ok, and we can try to stay positive and we're all going to survive this.
