To all of my followers and many people on the community of Letterboxd who can see this, in light of the election. I want to say something to all of you.
This election was a disaster so disastrous it’s on a level similar to Nixon being reelected and the Vietnam war and the trail of tears. We have every right to be angry, sad, and disappointed. I am extremely disappointed in this country and the people. But and it sounds cheesy, the world is not always cupcakes and rainbows, it’s sometimes gray and depressing. But I don’t want any of us to give up hope, love, and your identity.
This account is small, but for anyone who sees this, I hope the best for all of you. This account supports the rights for Palestinians, people of color, women, and gay people. You’re not nothing, you’re people who just want to get by in life. I hope all of you can find a way to live good lives, I really do. I don’t care if people leave the US by their own decision, it’s your choice to have a good life, go live it. Don’t let the world destroy you, live a good life with love. With any opportunity you have, help those around you, love all those you care about. Kindness and joy is the best of humanity, keep it in your hearts.
May your families, friends, and whatever god you believe in protect you. And may you live a life worth living, don’t give up.
