    As usual, with this Paint Drying post, this is a non-traditional movie review/log.

    It has been a sad and disappointing day. Obviously Donald Trump being President of the United States again is truly a difficult thing to think about. It's baffling and upsetting that the GOP would let this happen again after 8 years. I thought for sure that we would have the first woman President with Kamala Harris but I guess not.

    Very solid Christmas thriller that’s a mix of Phone Booth and Die Hard 2. Jaume basically worked with Taron and Jason because he didn’t like working with The Rock anymore. Every year there should be fun solidly made tense thrillers set during Christmas like “Carry-On”. The banter between Egerton and Bateman carries it and so does Bateman’s performance.

    I was so excited for this movie a while not only because it was animated but because it was going to be an anime-inspired film. From what I’ve seen it looked it was going to be a “Princess Mononoke”-style movie that was set in Tolkien’s Middle Earth. I think the film blending 3D backdrops with 2D animation is a neat idea but the character models, at times, feel a bit janky. 
    Ghibli style Lord of the Rings would work but…
