I really don't like musicals, but this movie is incredible! It's undoubtedly the best musical I've seen, and is one of the greatest romance stories to be told in film. Stone and Gosling are fantastic, the script is amazing, the visuals are gorgeous, and just everything about the movie is phenomenal

And after years of trying, I finally got to watch it with my girlfriend. The reason it's taken so long is because she hates musicals, even more than I do. I think the first two musical numbers are super cringe-worthy to get through if you're like us and quite dislike musicals, but once you meet Sebastian... It just becomes one of my favourite movies of all time

I'm super glad that she enjoyed the film aside from the musical segments. It was amazing to finally get to watch it with her
