Here’s to the fools who dream
I’m not big on musicals, but with La La Land, i was engaged. Coming off the heels of his 2014 masterpiece Whiplash, Damien Chazelle is one of the most unique directors working today, with his style and talent oozing in every scene/line of dialogue.
La La Land is astounding and beautiful, with Ryan and Emma soaring as our lead protagonists. The music is cathartic in a way that it speaks to you, as not only do you begin to understand their goals and struggles, but also the connections being made between them.
It’s a wonderful thing.
