Another legacy sequel and to be quite honest, they’re either quite enjoyable, or down right bad. This was pretty enjoyable, It’s hard for Ridley Scott to make a dud. Ridley sticks to the theme that worked for Gladiator, which is like 50/50 for me. I love the action sequences inside the colosseum, Ridley has never tried to limit his action which is what makes a movie like this thrive. However, i feel like he had a little to much going on for the cast in the sequel. Gladiator II has an all star cast but sadly, each character doesn’t get their moment to shine. The cast was great though, Paul Mescal is one of the actors with the brightest future, with Joseph Quinn a little bit behind him. Denzel doesn’t need any words, he’s a legend and never gives a bad performance. Pedro took what he had and made it better. The runtime probably could’ve been a little shorter, but that’s nothing to picky. That ending though, had me quite hyped. I also picked up the Helmet Popcorn Bucket :)
Definitely not as good as its predecessor but still a fun time with plenty of action.
