Well, hi there.
I had a pretty good week movie-wise so I figured why not ruin it with Ends? Also, what if I *love* Ends?

Four years after the events of Halloween (2018) and Kills, Laurie has decided to liberated herself from her fear and trauma and embrace life. But then a young man is accused of killing the child (otherwise known as the worst little shit ever) he babysat - which ignites a chain of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally, again, face the evil she can't control.. when Halloween Ends.
LOL, I had to.

Well, that was a lot. I'm honestly quite baffled. I was spoiled a bit for parts of this movie but I'm still baffled.
It's ballsy to go in a different direction but as many complained, why did we not know this dude before? You can't just introduce a new character in the final movie and then not even go through with it and kill said character right before the final fight?!
I actually couldn't stand Allyson for most of the runtime and I understand that trauma will change you and influence you but please don't run off with that babyfaced killer, you're not 16 anymore, sweetheart. At least she makes a good decision by finally leaving Haddonfield behind and Laurie is going to Japan with her murder boyfriend, respectively. Well, good for them.
I was actually excited to see Laurie doing well at the beginning of the movie before the horror started once again.
And the whole Corey plot isn't awful but this is not the right movie to do that, IMO. It feels it came out of nowhere and how it was decided that this should be the grand finale is beyond me.
And actually I thought this was well shot although I got strong Music Video vibes whenever Allyson and Corey pretended to be the romanticized version of Bonnie and Clyde.

Anyways, the ending at the salvage yard is good and it's what they should've done years ago.

Also, what was Michael doing all these years? Just chilling, killing now and then? 💀

Overall, not a bad movie but a horrid Halloween movie.

Certainly an unexpected addition to my Romantic Horror 💘 list.
