Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury Road

8.5/10

I LIVE, I DIE, I LIVE AGAIN!

This movie should have buried road movies! Literally no one will ever reach this level hahaha

At the beginning of the film, with all those special effects, jumpscares and fast and manic editing, I said "my god, this movie looks TERRIBLE", but then I realized it wasn't that bad, and with the thunderstorm scene I started to like it, and by the middle of the film I recognized it as a very good movie.

Miller creates an action movie, poetic action, poetry of violence and destruction, poetry of fury. A work with a minimalist script, with hardly any dialogue, it is supported by absolutely maximalist, impeccable and precise editing, to tell us a much more mature and complex story than it might seem at first sight. A work of deep characters, whose relationship evolves throughout the film. And with a new and fundamental character, Furiosa, a jewel for the incredible Charlize Theron who will undoubtedly go down in film mythology.

But let the viewer not be fooled, Mad Max: Fury Road is primarily an action film, with chases, crazy cars, destruction and violence, and above all, the beautiful photography is a spectacle. The action is insane, brutal and is filmed magnificently, despite its accelerated pace not only does the viewer not get lost, but it manages to involve him in the story. The sound and music round out the film making it a whole and turning it into a true work of art.

Fury Road will leave in my retina moments that will never be erased like that wonderful scene with the marauders with motorcycle jumps included that is an ode to the epic to the rhythm of the music of a Tom Holkenborg who from today has my approval and blessing to do whatever he damn well pleases. And that final Armageddon that is the last half hour of the film in which the excesses and adrenaline take control of your body and make you want to, I don't know, LIVE?

Mad Max Fury Road is a shot of gasoline in the veins of those of us who love cinema. I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS!

I RECOGNIZE THE POSSIBILITY OF THE RATING INCREASING IN A REWATCH!! I AM WAITED, WITNESS ME CHANGING THE RATING LATER!

Oh, what a day! What a lovely day!

Dad rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Really good to be a blockbuster, it's not a masterpiece tho"
