Oppenheimer is SENSATIONAL!

A gripping character study that's layered, well-written and exhilarating.

Cillian Murphy disappears into his role and puts forth an incredible performance that captures all the subtle nuances and details exceptionally. Robert Downey Jr is brilliant, and I'm absolutely certain he will get an Oscar nomination for his supporting role. Every single actor brings in their best and make their characters completely engaging.

The filmmaking is immaculate to say the least and Nolan's eye for detail and precision is yet again evident. The non-linear narrative completely sucks you in and the editing, barring a few places, is razor sharp. There is something so fulfilling about watching a 3 hour long film that is completely driven by dialogue, yet manages to absorb you in its drama and characters completely.

I practically loved almost everything, except for maybe the first 30 minutes or so, which felt slightly cold and seperated from the emotional depth of the remaining film, but notheless, that didn't drag the film down by any means.

Oppenheimer is definitely an experience for the big screen, that's intimate yet truly epic in scope and scale. It's a film you watch, and think about for hours together. I'm still recovering from its impact.
