Nolan has done it again! A gripping character study and one of the most important events in human history. A movie that throughout makes you feel so many different emotions that contrast between each other. You want Oppenheimer’s to beat the Nazi’s but you have the ultimate sense of dread knowing what the outcome is. The build up to the bomb test going off is simply masterful as it feels like the buildup to any great action scene. The cast here are tremendous with Robert Downey Jr. the standout, Cillian Murphy also does brilliant as Oppenheimer. At 3 hours it does fly by but such a large cast it can be hard at times to keep up with all Oppenheimer’s relationships. Maybe not a movie I’ll return to 10 times but this is a cinematic experience that shouldn’t be missed.
