All We Imagine as Light 2024
Who stays? Who leaves? Who wants to stay but can’t? Who wants to leave but can’t? Through the noise of the city, how do we reach for tenderness?

La Cocina 2024
LFF 2024 Film #2:
Went into this completely blind last minute rush tickets, incredible stuff, sprawling and exciting. Funny as it is tragic, tense as it is romantic. Stacked with incredible performances , some really stunning imagery and just a whole film that feels so incredibly lived in. The green light monologue and the lunch rush hour sequence , amazing stuff, hell the one takes throughout , so good. For a film thats 150 minutes this flew by, very good editing and pacing .

All Shall Be Well 2024
A gorgeously poignant, quietly underplayed drama that centres the financial and administrative aspects of grief in a way I haven’t seen so effectively since the Redgrave segment of If These Walls Could Talk.
Patra Au Ga Man is completely wonderful.

I Am Nevenka 2024
LFF #6 - BFI Southbank NFT 2
Having the real Nevenka in attendance and having to pass her on my way out of the screening is one of the most harrowing and haunting experiences of my life.

Look Into My Eyes 2024
Perfectly named - everyone searching for connection, reassurance, guidance, in this world and the next. So compassionate and moving, funny without mocking anyone, completely free of judgement. Lovely start to LFF 2024!

The End 2024
LFF 2024 #9
The interior war between hope and despair. Despair prevails, of course, as it always will on the eve of destruction.
Bombastic and barmy - a true miracle of cinema that it all worked a charm. There’s so much to say but I’m currently running for a tube, because, for better or for worse, life goes on stubbornly. and I’ll never catch a train on time.

Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story 2024
Wow, #SupermanTheChristopherReeveStory is a beautifully heart wrenching film. The documentary never shies away from the tragedy, instead it embraces it to tell a warm, poignant, uplifting but saddening family story of the life of my #Superman.
Like him, the film soars! #LFF
