yes there are jumpscares, yes I had fun, yes things are incredibly creepy but not necessarily scary and yes there is some fucked up imagery in it.
oozing with dread and visually incredibly tense. might not be the “scariest movie in a decade” the film’s marketing touted but Perkins’ Longlegs is sinisterly stylistic (the movie looks so good with some really cool choices made visually) and anchored by a get-the-fuck-away-from-me creeptacular performance by Cage.
will be curious to see how it holds up on rewatch but for now, I am a big big fan of Perkins
