Jun Shirakawa (
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Jun Shirakawa first appeared to be a friendly, energetic, and fun-loving individual. However, after the incident where his little-sister was raped and witnessing her coming out of the hotel with Uruma, he completely changes, Jun starts to become extremely paranoid and not long after he was manipulated by Kyou, he completely lost all of his emotions. Initially, he was hostile towards Uruma and desired to see him suffer, believing that he was the cause of his sister's current state. However, after witnessing firsthand Kyou's twisted nature, ordering that Kakeru's leg be cut off, he began to show regret towards his actions and tried to back out of it, no longer wanting anything to do with it and apologizing to Uruma realizing that he too was just as much a victim.
Jun is also shown to have an aggressive side, especially when he attempted to punch Kyou in retaliation for killing his sister, only to be restrained by Andou before he had the chance to attack the mastermind.
Five years after the gym incident, Uruma's arrest, and the death of his sister, Jun reunites with Uruma under the initial guise of how he used to act and appears to no longer hold resentment towards him. However, like Uruma, he was now a shell of his former self, with an obsessive drive to kill Kyou and the Revolutionary Club, going so far as to enlist Uruma's help despite their past. However, Uruma believes that this persona was a facade and that Jun was still heavily involved with the Revolutionary Club and might have been corrupted by them, noting that the boy who used to be his friend was long gone.
Later on, it's revealed that Jun has been dating various women and speculated to have forced them to look like Kaname from dyeing their hair blonde and applying makeup to look like her. It is inplied that the first name of these women are also Kaname, as implied by his latest girlfriend, Matsushima Kaname. She described him as being friendly with a bright personality. However, he would be domineering and controlling in the relationship.
While initially posing as an ally to Uruma, it is later revealed that Jun became a loyal member of the Revolutionary Club, with it being heavily implied that he was psychologically manipulated by Kyou and Momoki, becoming completely twisted and maniacal. A polar opposite to how he used to be, with Uruma noting that the original Jun he knew was long gone. Jun's grief towards Kaname's death led him to develop an incestous and maniacal obsession towards her to where he brainwashed multiple women and performed plastic surgery on them until they became spot on look-a-likes of her and gave them different roles in a deluded fantasy of all the possible realities Kaname would have had if she was still alive.
Above all, he blames both his and Kaname's misfortune on Uruma, who he sees as a devil who coerced Kaname to become his slave. This led to him desiring revenge on Uruma and devising a scheme to make Uruma suffer. The pinnacle of Jun's descent into darkness and madness was fully shown where he sadistically raped a doppelganger resembling Azuma Chizuru, all while Uruma was forced to watch in an effort for him to know his pain and despair. At the end, he had one of his Kaname look-a-likes brutally hack off her arm and leg in the same manner of which his sister was tragically killed before having her beheaded. He even goes as far as taunting Uruma while messing with Azuma's head before having his minions execute Uruma and the police, but not before Kitami creates a diversion that allowed Uruma and the police to eescape. Despite his cruel acts, he still possed a shred of his humanity as he refused to involve the real Chizuru in his scheme and kept her to watch, reasoning that she was not involved and would not subject her to such cruelty.

Trivia[]
- The initial appearances of Jun and Anzai Zenichi are very ironic. While Anzai is a false antagonist revealed to be a hero who understood Uruma's pain and suffering all along, Jun is a supporting character who whose obsession with his sister leads to his betrayal of Uruma later in the series.
- While Jun may have became one of Kyou's allies, it is only because of the false belief that Uruma was responsible for his sister's tragedy, even though ironically, he is supporting the same person who trained one of the monsters who attacked his sister, with his enemy (Uruma) ironically being the one to avenge his sister. Eventually, he temporarily makes amends with Uruma by allowing himself to lose, though at the cost of losing a very important person in his life. Despite this, he soon betrays Uruma again, being even more twisted than he already was.
- Jun's fate after the gym incident was initially unconfirmed until after Chapter 144 where it was revealed that he was escorted by Kyou and Andou after the police had arrived.
- Jun is revealed to be responsible for Uruma's memory loss as he not only pulls out a gun and used it to shoot Uruma the second time at the same location of Uruma's recent confrontation with Kyou, revealing his role in his attempted assassination of Uruma.
- Jun is one of the most hypocritical characters in the series as he not only got angry at Uruma for raping his sister, but at the same time, he does the exact same thing to an Azuma doppelganger just to spite Uruma.
- In a further twist of irony, Jun was initially presented as a tragic, yet vengeful and well-intentioned anti-villain during the pre-timeskip who genuinely thought that Uruma made his sister suffer and only worked with Kyou to make Uruma go through the same. Furthermore, seeing the suffering Uruma's family had to go through was what prompted Jun to temporarily snap back to his senses and attempt to help Uruma escape the games (which ended in complete disaster). However, by the post-timeskip, his status changed from that of a vengeful, yet tragic anti-villain, to a purely evil, wrathful, yet hypocritical monster who had no qualms of doing whatever he can in his power to make ANYONE suffer. However, this is somehow downplayed as he retains part of his kindness due to refusing to kill Azuma Chizuru during his "execution" of her.
- Jun is the first villain in the manga to commit suicide after realizing how far he went to hurt Uruma as a result of his loss…
- Jun, along with Uruma and Kaname, are the only characters to feature in a volume cover twice.
