Well Thats really a surprise, i never expected him to be a general. Agathahetrodyne (talk) 04:50, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, he DID find a Heterodyne heir. That's got to be pretty cosmic as far as Jager achievements go! He always was a thinker, too. johnwillo (talk) 06:16, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
- He has a new arm, that a Heterodyne didn't make for him. This troubles me. 81.131.246.88 06:36, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
- We don't know for sure that Dimo is actually the General that anonymous Jager is addressing. He might just have been standing nearby and happened to overhear the other Jager's announcement, looked up and saw Agatha (hence his expression of disbelief). All of the overt JagerGenerals we've seen so far are significantly larger than ordinary humans or low-ranked Jagers. Even if Dimo is now a General, there's nothing to say he didn't just receive the promotion recently. Also, regarding his arm, we don't know that a Heterodyne didn't make it for him: Possible sources are Dingbot Prime (Heterodyne proxy for Agatha) or either Bill or Barry. Also, it might be a temporary prosthetic, which might fall outside the parameters of "only letting Heterodynes work on them". Maybe they only apply that stricture to actual biological repair as opposed to artificial replacements (witness the apparently-permanent eyepiece Agatha's escort is sporting). - Or all the "real" generals are unavailable (in Mechanicsburg?) and he's taken over temporary command of the remnant outside, and is referred to by the courtesy title "general" by them. Actually that seems unlikely, but it's possible. NathanTheRammer (talk) 13:27, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
- The juxtaposition of dialog implies Dimo is the general being addressed. Anything else would be deceptive storytelling which the Foglio's don't do (usually). It also makes sense for Dimo to have gotten his promotion. He has been acknowledged as smart and sneaky by the other generals including Zog. He also helped cover for Higgs when Higgs met Gil. Plus we know there is room for promotion. Rej¿¤¤? 17:24, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Der Jaegers aren't subject to the finer points of military behavior. This is almost certainly a field promotion for Dimo. -- Billy Catringer (talk) 00:28, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
