Discussion for comic for 2008-10-03 (Friday) .

I'm struck by how much more mature Sleipnir looks, and acts, in this sequence than when she was seen on the airship. There has been a general aging of many of the characters (including Agatha) as Girl Genius has developed that seems to me to be more rapid than the actual flow of events would require, and it's particularly pronounced in her case. Which poses the question: do we have a good sense for how much in-universe time has passed since she first appeared? -- that old bearded guy 17:48, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, we know that there were "a few weeks" of traveling between volumes four and five, and that's about the only actual time frame I can recall being given.LadyVivamus 19:31, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
It might be that simply, the events at Castle Wulfenbach and since have had a 'maturing' effect on her. She had just watched the girl she just met be revealed as the heir to the greatest heroes of Europa, a friend get killed, and probably watch the beginning of Gil's slide into depression after Agatha's 'death.' Things like that can make you take another look at your own life. --Donovan Ravenhull 21:17, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
