The Wrangler 4xe comes only in the Unlimited 4-door body style. The back seats are fine for two adults, but for a vehicle this size, cargo space behind the second row is modest. The second row doesn’t fold to create a flat load floor, but properly equipped the Wrangler can tow 5000 lbs.

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe PHEV comes in five trim levels, starting at $53,544 for the four-door Sport S. Both the better equipped Willys and Sahara ask $64,578, with the latter being the most on-road friendly. The extreme Rubicon on 33-inch all terrain tires runs $77,590, and the Rubicon X with its max level of posh starts at $87,085.

The Jeep Compass is the brand’s entry-level sport utility. This compact Jeep model seats five and comes with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine; and while it definitely isn’t a Wrangler, its Trailhawk trim can be surprisingly capable on tougher off-road trails.

Very little changes for 2025, other than the Latitude trim adding standard heated seats, heated steering wheel, and remote start; and a new limited-edition exterior orange paint, called Joose, is added.

The Jeep Compass carries a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine, making 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, and with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All trims include a full-time 4x4 system that can be driven on all surfaces, while the Trailhawk’s version also includes a “low” setting with 20:1 crawl ratio.

In her review of the 2023 Jeep Compass, Nadine Filion said, “Having pushed the 2023 Jeep Compass’ new turbocharged unit hard on the roads that cross the Californian canyons…200 horsepower, but above all, those 221 torques is plenty of power to motivate a 1,642-kilogram sport cute. Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) rates the 2025 Jeep Compass at 9.9 L/100 km city, 7.4 highway, and 8.8 combined, for an estimated annual fuel cost of $2,728. It takes regular-grade gasoline.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives the 2025 Jeep Compass four out of five stars overall in crash-testing, which includes five for side crash; four for front crash; and three for rollover. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the top “Good” in its three crash tests, but all were the original standard. At time of writing, it hadn’t been through the updated side test, which better simulates being struck by a large SUV; nor the updated moderate front overlap, which now assesses potential injury to a rear-seat passenger as well as to those in front. It earned “Marginal” for its emergency front braking detecting a vehicle ahead, and also “Marginal” for ease of use of its child seat tether anchors.

All trims include emergency front braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, drowsy driver alert, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), trailer sway control, and mandatory rearview camera. Upper trims can add adaptive cruise control, active driving assist, rear parking sensors, parallel and perpendicular parking assist, and surround-view camera.

2025 Jeep Compass Reliability Rating

Consumer Reports gives the 2025 Jeep Compass a predicted reliability rating of 45/100, saying it expects it to have “about average reliability when compared to the average new car,” based on the 2022 model plus Jeep’s brand scores. The Compass didn’t take an individual award in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study, which looks at three-year-old vehicles, while Jeep as a brand scored eleventh out of all automakers, directly above the industry average.

Depending on the trim or options, the Compass’ features can include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, cloth or leather upholstery, fold-flat front passenger seat, 8.4-inch or 10.1-inch centre touchscreen, Alpine premium audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless charger.

Cargo capacity is 770 litres (27.2 cu.ft.) with the rear seats upright, and 1,693 litres (59.8 cu.ft.) when they’re folded down. All trims can tow up to 2,000 lbs when properly equipped.
