Sandro Lúcio Cleuzo is an animator who worked for Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Born in São Paulo, Cleuzo began his animation career at age 15 working in TV commercials. In the summer of 1990, he traveled to Ireland where was hired animator and Disney veteran Don Bluth. There, he designed characters for Thumbelina, A Troll in Central Park, The Pebble and the Penguin, and later Anastasia when the crew relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to work for Fox Animation Studios.
In 1997, Cleuzo joined Disney Animation where was hired to work on Fantasia 2000, animating the "Sprite" running away from the "Firebird". He continued to work for many projects for the company as well as freelancing on other projects for other companies such as Dreamworks Animation, Netflix, Sony, Laika, and Paramount. Such projects included films like Axterix and the Vikings, The Angry Birds Movie, Curious George, Klaus, Scoob!, Nimona, and shows like Family Guy and Piggy Tales.
Sandro won an Annie Award for his animation for Mary Poppins Returns in 2018.
