Bonfamille's Residence is a luxurious home in The Aristocats. It is where Madame Adelaide Bonfamille, her cats Duchess, Marie, Toulouse, Berlioz, the horse Frou-Frou, and the majordome Edgar (until his treason) reside. Unknown to her, the mouse Roquefort also resides here a mouse hole. After the cats finally return back to the house, their owner adopts Thomas O'Malley decides to open a cat club frequented by Scat Cat, his Alley Cats jazz band, Abigail and Amelia Gabble, their Uncle Waldo and plausibly the dogs Napoleon and Lafayette.
Role in the film[]
The Residence is first seen when Georges Hautecourt comes visits and when Duchess hears Berlioz, Toulouse, and Marie practice scales. Later, when Duchess and the kittens drink milk, Roquefort comes with a cracker and eats with the kittens as they fall asleep. That night, Edgar abducts the cats from the mansion and abandons them on the French countryside. Then as Madame Adelaide Bonfamille wakes up and realizes that the kittens are gone. It is then seen at the end of the film as Madame takes photos of Duchess, the kittens, and Thomas O'Malley. Madame turns her house into a new foundation for all the main characters living with her and for them to sing the reprise of "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat."
