Terrie Livingston was the Chief Justice of the Texas Second District Court of Appeals. She served in this position since April 19, 2010. She was elected to the court in 1994 for a term that began in January 1995[1] and was re-elected on November 6, 2012, for a term that would have expired on December 31, 2018.[2][3] She retired from the bench on September 8, 2017.[4]
Education
Justice Livingston received her B.A. degree in political science from Texas Tech University and her J.D. degree from the University of Texas.[1]
Career
Justice Livingston began her legal career practicing with various law firms in Fort Worth. She later ran a solo practice until 1994, when she joined the Court of Appeals.[1]

2012 election

Livingston ran unopposed for re-election on November 6, 2012 and was re-elected with 100% of the vote.[5][6]
2010

Livingston had to run for election to the seat she was appointed to earlier in the year. She was elected after running unopposed, so she finished the term of John Cayce, which expired in 2012.[7]
