Rex Rammell (Republican Party) ran for election for Governor of Wyoming. He lost in the Republican primary on August 16, 2022.
Biography
Rex Rammell graduated from Teton High School in 1979.[1] Rammell earned a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 1989.[1][2] His career experience includes working as a veterinarian with Wyoming Veterinary Center, a rancher, and an author.[1][2][3]

Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent Cynthia Lummis (R) did not seek re-election in 2016. Liz Cheney (R) defeated Ryan Greene (D), Lawrence Struempf (Libertarian), and Daniel Clyde Cummings (Constitution Party) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Cheney defeated seven other Republican candidates in the primary election, while Greene defeated Charlie Hardy to win the Democratic nomination. The primary elections took place on August 16, 2016. Rammell ran in the 2012 election for Idaho House of Representatives District 7A. Rammell lost against district 7A incumbent Shannon McMillan and Ed Galloway in the Republican primary on May 15, 2012.
