Peleg Sprague (1793-1880) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. At the time of appointment, he was a private practice attorney in Boston, MA. He joined the court in 1841 after an appointment from John Tyler. He resigned on March 13, 1865. He passed away on October 13, 1880.[1]

Judicial career
District of Massachusetts
Sprague was nominated by President John Tyler on July 15, 1841. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 16, 1841 and received commission that same day. He resigned on March 13, 1865. Sprague was succeeded in this position by John Lowell.[1]
