|A 20-year-old "Raised Right" Constitutional Republican with strong Christian values. I was born and raised right here in Sevier County, East Tennessee. My candidacy for the Tennessee House of Representatives District-12 seat is to provide our community with dependable, unwavering, Constitutional Conservative Representation. It's past time that we, as a the hard-working families of Sevier County, unite to take our community back and have our voices heard.
- Freedom Matters - As a young Constitutional Republican Candidate with strong Christian values, Mariah promises, true Conservative representation for Sevier County residents while simultaneously standing as an unwavering force in opposition to any legislation introduced that isn't first structured with a solid foundation that preserves and defends the Constitutional rights of our citizens.
- Education - Sevier County Schools have a 37.8% "Ready Graduate" percentage. he Ready Graduate rate represents the percentage of students who demonstrate readiness for college and careers after high school. Our students deserve better than this. They deserve one hundred percent effort from our elected officials on a full-time basis. There is so much we need to accomplish for our students, schools, and district parents, but it can’t happen by staying on our current path.
- Affordable Housing - It breaks my heart to see our neighbor's being pushed out of the county because they can no longer afford to live here. This is our home! As the current administration talks about bringing more big companies into the county for jobs, we are seeing the cost of rents double. The people I have talked with are already working more than one job, and that's just to make ends meet. A lack of jobs is not the problem, being able to afford a home and to continue to live in Sevier County is. We need better paying jobs and a comprehensive plan to implement projects that will provide affordable housing to the true middle class of our community.
I am a true Constitutional Conservative that will defend and preserve our rights first and foremost. I am absolutely determined to work tirelessly on bringing our schools back up to a standard of educational excellence that compares to the top scores of our nation.
I feel we should make every effort to create partnerships between builders and local government to implement new ways to resolve the housing shortage and unaffordable rents for the average hard-working family of Sevier County. Most of the people I know are already working more than one job. We don't just need another 200 low paying jobs. We need better-paying jobs and a plan to bring affordable housing to the true middle-class citizens. We can't continue on the path we're on now.
I personally believe that everyone was born into this world as unique as their fingerprints. I believe that there has never been, nor will never be another you. With that being said, I have found that by observing the actions of people as individuals, more often than not, you can find some traits to admire, each and every one. However, I must say that I really have admiration for Donald Trump and what he accomplished. Not just in the fact that he addressed everything with the interest of America First, but that he opened the eyes of the average American to what was happening to our nation behind the Washington curtain. He put himself, his family, and his businesses on the line to expose the corruption and deceit that lingers in the halls of our nation's capital.
Honesty, Integrity, transparency and a commitment to serve the citizens that they represent. Every waking moment must be about the people. There is no higher honor than to represent for the people.
The financial crisis of 2007–2008 would have to be first as it was the cause of my family moving for 2 years. I remember my parents were more stressed and had concerns over the house finances. The move was supposed to help resolve the issue, even if was just on a temporary basis. Looking back, I know now that everything happens as God has planned for me and it allowed me to add a new, and rewarding chapter to my personal story. Nowadays, I guess you could say that over the last few years historical events are becoming more common than ever, but the first historical event that stands out the best in my mind with clarity is the Donald Trump election. As a deep-rooted true Constitutional Conservative, I saw the Trump election as a win for America and a potential opportunity to pull our nation back in the right direction.
My very first job was one that I created myself. In 2013 my Father accepted a position that required my family to move to Myrtle Beach for 2 years. At the time I was devastated and felt that I would never get over the sudden change and disconnect from my friends and family here in Sevierville. However, over the first few months in the area, I noticed that there was a sad and somewhat ignored issue of homelessness. So I decided to be the change that I sought and with the help of my father, I started a non-profit called "Trending Change". More information here:

Through reaching out to local residents and businesses for help, I was able to start providing those that were without a home with some of the basic essentials that they needed.
What I learned from my first job is that sometimes people are starving for more than food. Sometimes they just need to see that someone cares about them and that they have not been forgotten.
The Bible
Different by Micah Tyler
If the opportunity presents itself and the need is there to serve, I will run for U.S. Congress or Governor.
I will not compromise, ever, on the issues that make our country what it is. I will not compromise on issues that would or potentially could infringe upon the constitutional rights of our citizens. I will not compromise on issues that would infringe upon the citizen's rights to raise their children as they see fit and of their beliefs. I will not compromise on issues that would or could infringe upon the rights of our citizens to maintain their privacy and security as free persons with God-given rights that no man can take away. I will not compromise on any legislation that would or could impose upon our citizen's right to freedom of religion. I will not compromise on any legislation that is not first written on a foundation of preserving the Constitutional rights of our citizens.
On the matters that have no relation to, or do not have the weight to infringe upon our citizen's rights, but are more of a budgetary debatable substance, administration policies, and so on, I believe that compromise is favorable. Compromise between individuals that unanimously agree to first preserve our citizen's rights can be successfully negotiated and bring positive results to our community.
The bottom line is that we are all Americans First. If we can all agree to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States of America first, then any and all policymaking negotiations should provide a positive outcome for everyone involved.
