My name is Aron Maberry. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for over 18 years, and we have three amazing children. I am a Clarksville Native and the only elected Republican on the School Board. I am one of those elected officials who respond to you when you reach out. I love the faith community in Montgomery County, and I am the Family Pastor of Mosaic Church. I have served people and built up leaders for nearly 20 years. I’ve discovered the same passion I have for ministry I have in representing people in our community. I know how to build relationships and build community. This is important when you need to work with others so we can get things done for you. I am a lifelong conservative and will be the Conservative Voice for a New Generation of Republicans when I become your nominee to the State House of Representatives. I ask for your vote and encourage you to check out my website at www.votemaberry.com.

  • Local Infrastructure: As your State Representative, I will fight to bring infrastructure improvements to District 68 and all of Montgomery County. Our community is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation, and our infrastructure and roads must scale up to meet this demand. The TN Department of Transportation (TDOT) recently allocated $296.3 million to widen a section of Trenton Road (State Route 48) and $511 million to widen a corridor of Interstate 24 in Montgomery County, and I will work to ensure these and other projects are completed in order to reduce traffic and congestion.
  • School Choice: Our children are our future, and I believe in the rights of parents to their children’s education. Just as I have on the Clarksville-Montgomery School Board, I will work diligently to ensure that schools teach our children what they need to be successful and give our teachers the tools to provide the best education for our children. My experience and knowledge with our school district give me a unique perspective in addressing these challenges on a state level. I support Public, Private, micro-school, homeschool, and Charter schools as viable forms of education, and I support Governor Bill Lee’s call for statewide school choice.
  • Border Security and Immigration: The number one issue facing our nation today is securing our southern border. America is a nation founded on the Rule of law, and illegal immigration continues to be a problem, both for the burden on our infrastructure and our national security. I will champion efforts that de-incentivize illegal immigrant relocation to Tennessee, support the efforts of our brave Law Enforcement, and work to expand legislation that provides avenues to citizenship for those who seek America as the land of opportunity it is.

Better infrastructure, School Choice, securing our border, stronger and safer community, and no red flag laws.

I look up to Gov. Mike Huckabee. He was a pastor who turned politician, and as governor of Arkansas, he always looked to do the right thing. He is a man of character. He is also a conservative Republican.

Faith and Integrity: Elected officials must possess unwavering integrity, demonstrating honesty, transparency, and a commitment to ethical conduct in all their actions. Integrity is the bedrock of trust between elected officials and the constituents they serve. Also, your faith is your moral compass and you will be guided by their faith.
Accountability: Elected officials are accountable to the people who elected them. They must be willing to take responsibility for their decisions and actions and should be held to high standards of accountability by their constituents. This includes being responsive to the community's needs and concerns and being willing to explain and justify their decisions.
Commitment to Constitutional Principles: Conservative Republicans prioritize adherence to the Constitution and the principles of limited government, individual liberty, and the rule of law. Elected officials should be dedicated to upholding these principles in their legislative actions and policymaking, ensuring that government power is restrained and individual rights are protected.
Fiscal Responsibility: Elected officials must be committed to fiscal responsibility, managing taxpayer dollars wisely and prioritizing balanced budgets and responsible spending. This includes resisting the temptation to overspend and advocating for policies that promote economic growth and fiscal sustainability.
Leadership: Effective leadership is essential for elected officials to inspire confidence, unite diverse interests, and advance the common good. This requires the ability to make tough decisions, communicate a clear vision, and work collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.
Commitment to Conservative Values: Conservative Republicans value principles such as individual responsibility, free enterprise, and traditional values. Elected officials should embody these values in their personal conduct and advocate for policies that reflect them in their legislative work.

My desire is to help and serve people - which I believe is the foundation of a good elected official. For nearly 20 years, I've served people in ministry, and this is a way I can serve and represent people in Government. I believe my faith is my strongest attribute, as I believe we need people of faith, character, and a moral compass to stay grounded in the midst of government.

As a Conservative Republican I believe the core responsibilities for someone elected to office should be deeply rooted in upholding the principles of limited government, individual liberty, and fiscal responsibility. This means prioritizing policies that promote economic growth, safeguarding national security, and preserving traditional values.

First and foremost, elected officials have a duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, ensuring that our nation remains a beacon of freedom and democracy. This includes respecting the separation of powers, safeguarding our rights and liberties, and upholding the rule of law.

Furthermore, elected officials must prioritize policies that promote economic prosperity and opportunity for all Americans. This means pursuing pro-growth policies such as lower taxes, sensible regulations, and free-market principles that encourage entrepreneurship and job creation. Fiscal responsibility is also paramount, as elected officials must be stewards of taxpayer dollars, ensuring that government spending is efficient, accountable, and focused on essential services.

National security is another critical responsibility for elected officials, as they must work to protect our country from external threats and ensure the safety and security of all Americans. This includes maintaining a strong military, securing our borders, and combating terrorism and other global challenges.

Finally, elected officials have a responsibility to uphold traditional values and promote a culture of life, family, and faith. This means defending the sanctity of human life, supporting traditional marriage and family structures, and preserving our Judeo-Christian heritage.

Overall, the core responsibilities should involve defending the Constitution, promoting economic prosperity, ensuring national security, and upholding traditional values. These principles form the foundation of good governance and are essential for leading well.

I want my legacy to include better infrastructure, school choice, lower taxes, and conservative government values.

Shaved Ice stand in Athens, TX. My grandfather bought it in hopes to get his grandkids to come spend the summer with him and it worked on all of us. I did it for two summers.

"Start with the Why" by Simon Sinek is my favorite book. Most people don't lead out of the why - they lead by the what. This book changed my leadership and made me a better leader by leading through the "why." Also, "Extreme Ownership" by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin which teaches the simple principle of owning leadership.

I didn't come from a home of means or with a good financial model. I learned personal finance by finding Dave Ramsey on my own, and I was already in a "mess," as Dave puts it. Following his principles and hard work, we have learned and created a stable and thriving financial foundation.

The ideal relationship between the governor and the State Legislature is one of collaboration, mutual respect, and shared commitment to serving the best interests of the state and voters. While each branch of government has distinct roles and responsibilities, they should work together harmoniously to enact policies that promote economic growth, safeguard individual liberties, and uphold traditional values.

As we continue to grow by leaps an bounds our infrastructure and community safety is the greatest challenge we will have over the next decade.

Previous experience in politics can be helpful, but I believe anyone should be able to step up and lead when called upon by the voters of a districts. I am an elected official and have passed the "learning curb" of my role which I do think will help me catch on quickly to my role as a state legislature.

We must work with other state legislatures in the region to accomplish big things with our infrastructure for the region. I know how to build community and build relationships and I believe this uniquely gives me an advantage to represent District 68 as your State Representative.

I am concentrated on winning this election and being the best State Representative for District 68.

I recently sat with someone who is struggling to put her kids in a private Christian school. The struggle has been so much that she is being forced to enroll them in Public schools this next school year. If we had School Choice and allow parents to use their tax dollars for the school of their choice then this mother would be empowered to keep her children in their current school.

I enjoy telling bad puns. That's just how eye roll.

I would advocate for legislative oversight of emergency powers rather than unilateral authority granted to the executive branch. While recognizing the need for swift action during emergencies, I emphasize the importance of checks and balances to prevent potential abuses of power and ensure accountability.

Granting the executive branch broad emergency powers without legislative oversight can raise concerns about the concentration of power in the hands of a single individual, potentially undermining the principles of limited government and separation of powers. Therefore, any emergency powers conferred upon the executive should be subject to legislative review and approval.

I would be a leading voice for School Choice in the State Legislature

Education, State and Local Government and Transportation.

I believe in limited government and fiscal responsibility, which necessitates openness in financial matters. Voters deserve to know how their tax dollars are spent, and transparency ensures trust between government and the people. I will advocate for clear, accessible budgets, competitive contracting, and rigorous financial reporting to prevent waste and corruption. Elected officials must be held to high standards of accountability through elections, oversight mechanisms, and consequences for misconduct. Upholding these principles ensures that government serves the people's best interests and operates with integrity.

When elected, I would be the voice of my district and I would advocate for measures to ensure transparency, accountability, and responsible policymaking.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Tennessee

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
