A resident of Weakley County, TN. Kevin graduated with a B.S. from Kaplan University. USMC Gulf War Veteran, Business Owner, Arkansas Arts Academy School Board Member (2006-2007) Youth Mentoring Program National Chairman (2013-2015)

  • Integrity - I promise to represent district 76 with the highest level of integrity, common sense and honesty.
  • Dedication - I am dedicated to making certain to draft and vote on legislation and set state policies on issues such as taxation, education, and government spending that benefit our district
  • Critical Thinking - I am committed to using critical thinking to actively and skillfully address issues that are important to our district. By applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information gathered from or generated by observation, experience, reflection and reasoning.

Education, personal and professional growth opportunities, community growth and job development, fair housing and elimination of poverty.

State representatives introduce and vote on bills that represent the interests of their constituents (people who live in their voting district). They create new laws, modify or update old laws and serve on research committees within the legislative branch. These representatives uphold the state's Constitution, and vote on changes to the Constitution when amendments are needed. They may address issues such as education, transportation, commerce, state taxes and any other items that are a concern to local residents. Representatives may also assist constituents with personal legal issues such as immigration or justice problems.

Albert Einstein - While most people identify him as a well-known physicist, he was also a world class problem solver and critical thinker. He inspired me from an early age in those areas and it is a passion that has never faded.

The character of an elected official reflects the character of the community from which they were chosen. Displaying awareness, empathy and foresight, honesty, integrity, humility, courage and compassion show the elected official understands and embraces the qualities of servant leadership.

Confidence, Honesty, Empathy, Flexibility, Dedication, Willingness to Serve and most important , I aspire to respect different views, analyze problems, and identify the best solutions - not based on loyalty to a political party, but rather based on what is good and right and in the best interest of the state as a whole.

The principal responsibilities are balancing power, representing constituencies and making laws.

I want to leave a legacy of small acts of kindness done well, and without expectation of reward or recognition, that find a special place in people's hearts and that are the most important.. genuine.

The 1968 Chicago riots, sparked in part by the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. I was raised to always respect people regardless of creed, color and personal beliefs . I was caught in the rioting and looting that followed, while my parents were trying to get us home safely. While I didn't have clear memories of the chaos they went through, this was a story told often during my formative years growing up in chicago.

My first job was a handyman at a child care facility in Evanston Illinois, I stayed for 3 years and loved every minute of the job keeping our future generation safe was the most rewarding part of the job.

The Lord of the Ring Series - The imagery of a world so far beyond this one, physically identifiable evil and good, overcoming impossible odds through teamwork, determine to finish an important mission, inter-species teamwork and relationship building.

Lady Gaga song- Poker Face - I blame my teenage daughters for that one. Took forever to brain bleach that away!

To be cognizant of the fact that everyone struggles in life, its not personal and no one is alone in their struggles.

To represent their district to the best of their ability, to be honest, forthcoming and most important address issues such as education, transportation, commerce, state taxes and any other items that are a concern to local residents without regards to politics or party.

The House is the sole judge of the qualifications of its members and may determine its own rules of proceedings. Furthermore, the House, like the Senate, is free to adopt resolutions regarding virtually any issue concerning the state, country or world community.

Every piece of legislation starts as an idea, and that idea can come from a legislator, a staff member, a professional lobbyist, or an “average citizen.”, So in essence No, I do not believe professional politicians are always present the best benefit. While experience does go a long way, sometimes being a professional politician is more a hindrance then a help to their constituents.

Public servants must embrace the following qualities of servant leadership to be successful and useful to their community: Be mindful of and caring for the underprivileged in our state.prioritize the growth and well-being of individuals and their communities. Displaying awareness, empathy and foresight, be self-aware and prioritize personal development, encourage strategic thinking, innovation and action, be ethical and civic-minded and excel in effective cross-cultural communication.
