Kanani Souza (Republican Party) is a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 43. She assumed office on November 8, 2022. Her current term ends on November 3, 2026.
Souza (Republican Party) won re-election to the Hawaii House of Representatives to represent District 43 outright in the Republican primary on August 10, 2024, after the general election was canceled.
Biography
Kanani Souza graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 2003. Souza earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Southern California in 2007, an M.Ed. from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 2010, a J.D. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2013, and an LL.M. from Lewis & Clark College in 2022. Her career experience includes working as a deputy prosecuting attorney with the County of Hawaii and a lecturer with the University of Hawaii at West Oahu. Souza has served on the advisory board of Caring for Hawai'i Neonates and the board of the ACLU of Hawaii.[1][2]
