Andrew Takuya Garrett (Democratic Party) is a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 22. He assumed office on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on November 3, 2026.
Garrett (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Hawaii House of Representatives to represent District 22. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Andrew Takuya Garrett was born in Camp Zama, Japan, and lives in Honolulu, Hawaii. Garrett earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His career experience includes working as the deputy director of the State of Hawaii Department of Human Resources Development, the vice president of post-acute care of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii, and the acting president and CEO of the Hawaii Institute for Public Affairs. Garrett has served on the board of directors of Malama Manoa and the Manoa Girls Athletic Club.[1]
