Journal Committee, Wyoming House of Representatives
The Journal Committee is a standing committee of the Wyoming House of Representatives.
Per the House Rules, Wyoming House of Representatives committees are assigned by the Speaker of the House after conferring with the Majority Leader and Minority Leader. All standing committees consist of nine members except for the Appropriations, Journal, and Rules and Procedure committees, which consists of seven, two, and thirteen members, respectively. Membership is apportioned as nearly as possible to reflect the percentage of elected members of the majority and minority parties. All committee meetings are open to the public unless called into executive session by the chair.[1]

According to the House portion of the Combined Rules:
“ | The journal committee shall meet each day prior to the opening of the session for the purpose of examining the House journal and making recommendations thereto in the form of a written report to the House.[2][3] | ” |
