Tsuneyoshi's campaign website stated the following:

FUNDAMENTAL ISSUES

There are fundamental issues that need to be addressed to be able to create the future we hope for. By addressing these issues, we can lay the foundation for being able to move forward and turn things around.

  • Fiscal responsibility
  • Focus on transparency and accountability
  • Streamline government processes to create efficiency
  • Build trust

PRIORITIES AS GOVERNOR

  • Support our local businesses and work toward truly diversifying our economy.
  • Effectively utilize agricultural lands and invest in diversified agriculture to create new job opportunities and increase food security.
  • Development of truly affordable housing and programs that provide the tools needed for residents to realize the dream of home ownership.
  • Invest in the Department of Education to ensure quality education and opportunities for all our students and resources for our teachers.
  • Invest in the Department of Health to ensure that our people have access to quality medical, mental health and support services both for preventative services and in time of need.
  • Work toward our clean energy goals with projects that are supported by host communities and our people.
  • Develop detailed and area specific emergency plans especially for rural communities who have limited access to emergency services and can be left stranded in a disaster.
  • Expedite long awaited infrastructure projects in fiscally responsible ways.
  • Reevaluate the use of rule by Emergency Proclamations and Executive Orders, especially for an extended period of time as it removes the people from the process of governance.
  • Take action to fulfill the mission of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act and build homes for Native Hawaiian people as intended through Prince Kūhio’s legacy.
  • Engage the people and have open discussions on the 65-year land leases held by the Department of Land and Natural Resources that are expiring and decide how to best manage those lands for our future and for our people.
  • Protect our water and land through mindful stewardship.
  • Address the increasing issues of homelessness and hidden homelessness through services, programs and housing options.
  • Address public safety through judiciary reform to include work with local police departments, sheriff division, courts and correctional facilities.[3]
