Hello, I am Barbara Farmer-Tolbert, a dedicated lifelong Memphian. I have invested 25 years of combined community service within law enforcement, public schools, religious and non-profit organizations. I have been a strong voice for several bills that were voted into legislation. I am willing and ready to serve as your State Representative District 91 because I believe in safe communities, flourishing families and thriving schools. I am looking forward to meeting my fellow residents within district 91. I am convinced that together, we can become, “Fuel For The Future!”

Some areas of public policy I am passionate about include but not limited to anti-bullying, children internet protection, & healthcare.

The first historical moment in my lifetime was standing on the property of the Loraine Motel where Dr. Martin Luther King was killed. I was about 5 years old when my parents explained to my older brother and I what had occurred on that horrific day of April 4th, 1968.

My first job was a cashier for a fast food restaurant . I worked there for approximately 2 years.
