This was a fun talk. I saw a lot of nods in the audience when I mentioned things pertaining to social applications (unpredictable usage, etc.). The poller runs every five minutes and if it doesn’t finish, the next run is simply skipped. As you add more and more data points, this becomes more likely and more common.
