Player of the Year: Lydia Carter, Lindsay Lane, Sr.: Carter had a dominant season as she finished the year with 748 kills and 604 digs as well as 90 aces.
The Decatur Heritage girls basketball team was ranked the No. 1 in Class 2A by the Alabama Sports Writers Association on Thursday. On Friday, the Eagles rolled past No. 3 Lexington 81-54.
