Paper Piecing At The Sisterhood

I am the hostess for our new challenge at
and I have chosen the theme of "Paper Piecing'....
so easy now with all the fun dies available!

My card was made pretty simply with a die from
Frantic Stamper 'Star Quilt Square'
I cut it in the two colors you see,
then 'paper pieced' the red back into the teal.

The sentiment is an oldie but a favorite from Flourishes Heart Lines set.

If you like this cute die
a little 'heads up' it will be a prize (one like it)
at an upcoming Double D challenge in Sept....
mark your notes for that!

Now, make sure and go to The Sisterhood
to see all the beautiful paper piecing my 'sistahs' have created
and join in with us!!

Happy Birthday Square Cards

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today'

Hi Tutti fans, Diane with you today with three cards using the
Tutti Designs Happy Birthday Square.

This is one of those dies that doesn't require much more then itself,
but I have three different cards using it, each different.

The first card, I added a glitter paper behind and a purchased flower....
doesn't get much easier then that!

For the second card, I embossed the card base, layered a soft designer paper
on that, then die cut from a sparkle/glittery paper,
added a few flowers here and there , a bow and a couple more flowers.
this one I 'fancied' up a bit.

The third and last card was pretty much cut and layered like the one above,
but I added a cord bow, pearls and flowers.

I hope I have given you a few ideas on using this yourself....
it's 'one of those' does that you will reach for again and again!

And visit Pink & Main as they have something fun for you too!!

Here is a line up of the HOP

On my card today I am showing products from both
Paper Sweeties AND Pink & Main

I made a fun Double Z card.
To start my card I used white card stock for the base
and a green card stock for the Z.
(If you want to make one of your own
you can find lots of instructions on youtube
...or you can email me for the measurements.)

All the papers I have used are from
Pink & Main It's a Party 6x6 paper pad.

For the front of the Z I die cut
Pink & Main's Celebrate, brushed on glue
and added a pink glitter.
The cupcake is
Paper Sweeties Cupcake and Sprinkles
newly released August stamp and
Sweet Cuts die set.

The little flower ribbon and the sentiment are from the same set.

I added Paper Sweeties Bubblegum sequins and
Pink & Main Birthday Boy Glossy dots
to the cupcake top.

To the top of the card,
I wrapped Paper Sweeties Seam Binding
Creamsicle and Robin Egg
and made a big shabby bow.

Inside the main base of the card I stamped
Paper Sweeties new August Release
Best Day Ever stamps
and
Pink & Main Congrats stamps...
they worked so well together!!

Pearls~Gems~Diamonds

A new challenge is starting today at Double D and the theme is
Pearls Gems or Diamonds.
Dar has created this fun mood board to get you inspired!

I made a pretty simple card....
sometimes I like simple
and as soon as I saw the right bottom corner
one of my dies came to mind to me.
'Memory Box Blushing Bouquet'.

I die cut in white card stock, then colored the flowers in with Copics.
I added pearls to the flower centers.
This made me happy as I seem to have a lot of 'bigger' pearls
and they work good for flower centers.

I liked the design paper used as it has somewhat matching
flowers to the die,
not only in color but in shape as well....
however, I seemed to have covered most of them up...
it happens!

I wasn't sure if I was too fond of the sentiment I chose
so I let it sit overnight and in the morning
it seemed 'okay' to use it...

The ribbon was a small piece I had
and loved how well it went with the colors I used.

Pop on over to Double D and see the beautiful creations
by my friends and fellow DT designers...you will be glad you did!!

Oriental Screen Die

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi Tutti Fans, Diane with you today featuring the
Oriental Screen Background die.

This die is so pretty and cuts like a dream!
It is a very easy die to 'decorate with as I have.

For the first card I added a branch and a few flowers with Nuvo centers.
I used the Tutti Word die set Thanks for the sentiment.

The second card I placed the oriental screen on a pretty
background paper, then for the sentiment I used the
Tutti word set 'Celebrate', I die cut this twice to give a shadow effect underneath.
I also added a bit of greenery and the Tutti Designs Ginger Jar.

For my third and last card , the oriental  screen was cut from a
gold metallic paper...so pretty...and placed on  a metallic designer paper.
I added the Tutti Design Oriental Fan
and gold embossed a sentiment.

I hope I have given you a few ideas today to use this die...
you will LOVE it

Birthday Blossoms

Happy Sunday!!

Today just have a quick post to enter into a challenge I saw at

and the toppings is 'butterflies'.

When I was making sample cards for Tutti Designs
I ended up with boxes of cards that have yet to see my blog,
so this card is one of those that I finally get to show.

This card uses one of all time favorite Tutti dies  the

I adhered the frame to a blue background,
then stamped the sentiment inside.
I added a few flowers and a bow and the of course a
BUTTERFLY!!

Paper Sweeties August 2019 New Release Rewind!

It's 'rewind' time at Paper Sweeties
and the new stamps and dies are  available to purchase.

The last two days I have been focusing on the
Cupcakes and Sprinkles dies and stamps
so today decided to showcase the new (and awesome)
Best Day Ever stamp set..

This set is absolutely FULL of different words to
combine into a sentiment to fit just about any occasion.

Here in Michigan school resumes after Labor Day,
but just across the state line in Indiana it has already begun....
which is where I got my idea for today's card.

Do you remember in school
that sometimes you were so excited to get the teacher you wanted
in grade school?
Well, my card is all about that...
'best teacher ever'
All three of those words are the focus on my card and came from
the new set I mentioned above
'Best Day Ever' stamp set.

I stamped it on a piece of chalk board card stock with white ink.

I also used stamps from
I'm So Proud of You.

Thank you for visiting with me today
and make sure to visit each of the
other design team members to see their fabulous inspiration!
